I think people need to remember - the celebs get through on viewers votes!

I am a COla stan, but I also appreciate, and wanted Ali and Ricky in the final. Chris & Ola were amazed they got as far as they did, they would not have been devestated to leave. That didn't happen tho and Ali & Brian did.

Can people please stop being rude to others because of who they vote for! It IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DS TO VETO THE FINAL!

You may not like tonights result, as a COla fan, to be honest I don't - I think he should've gone tonight, but the people on here are not responsible, no individual is responsible, so just blame the Great British Public. Who are excorcising their right to vote for who they want to win! Yes it probably will be Chris, but that will be because most of the public are supporting him, and certainly not because they have some mad anti-Ricky satan-legion-hex type thing going on!

I think some people need to remember this is a tv show. I've lurked for 4 yrs, enough now x

You should know what it's like @ DS by now.
We'll engage in cheap psychologising, snipe at teh others' spelling mistakes and throw our empty Heroes wrappers at the screen in futile gestures and go to bed no wiser whatsoever. Just 100g heavier.

Whats that old saying...."you can't please all of the people all of the time", certainly true on here

Yes - and then its on to the next reality show where we all get worked up again depsite the fact that one month later we can't even remember the names of the people we were debating the merits of.

Strictly may be over next week and the X factor tomorrow - but Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice return in the first week of January.

One of the more sensible posts on this forum.

I would prefer a STRICTLY format, but that is not to be.

So for me, I vote for the couple that have a) improved the most, b) put all of their sole into the dance and c) entertain me.

Ricky is very bland and boring, good dancer but no personality and has danced the same since week 1.

Ali has a great personality but has not improved much and seems more intent on a love affair with Brian rather than the contest.

Chris has improved each week, is entertaining and puts 100% into his dancing. Not as good a dancer as the other two, but more entertaining.

Chris gets my vote.

Totally agree. It's not as though it's Chris & Ola's fault they're through to the final.

I am a COLA fan, and I voted for both Ricky and Chris tonight.

Although Chris is not good technically, he has enthusiam and character in bucket loads. And I think people really enjoy the partnership that he and Ola have.

Chris has always had to work doubly hard to keep up with the others, Ola has done a fantastic job with him.

I really thought their time was up tonight, and they did too.

I so agree. What's refreshing about Chris is that he's always been ready to go. I love the way he always thanks his voters, but what really makes me love them is Ola. I've had a love/hate relationship with James (I am female) cos he's so pleasant to look at, but a bit of a c**t. I've been indifferent to Ola cos she was there, moody, blah. But now I bloody love her! She has such a great sense of humour, and is just such a lovely girl. That is what makes me vote for them. Chris is obv lovely, but his making of a pro gets my massive respect cos it takes someone amazing to do that

Ola was the same last year. People just ignored her because she didn't get the coverage.. Ola's charisma is an argument for Kenny winning then. Kenny even had a better journey story too - from 21 to 30 in marks, wheras Chris's journey went from 30 to 34 . The pro's charisma is aso an argument for Vincent probably winning every year - or so Vincent would tell us. .

Thankfully I only watch strictly and dancing on ice, I can't stand any of the others.

Have never watched CBB but will no doubt become embroiled in DOI - followed by The Apprentice.

Umm, how has Chris improved from week 1? His hands are still awful, his posture is actually getting worse, he still contracts every single time he pivots - he has not fixed one of these things and they were present in week 1.

And again - personality is a bonus. It is an entertainment show about dancing, not being cute. This isn't called Strictly Come Blagging is it?

If you cannot see the improvement, you need to go to Spec Savers.

Tbh I can't see much improvement in Chris either, Poison_Feng - Perhaps you'd care to elaborate to the short-sighted among us?

Spatula-hands are the primary problem? That's his most heinous dance-crime?

I quite like them. I think they look reassuring given his slight stature. Appropriate.

A truer reflection of the combination of the judges scores and the voting public would be for the actual scores to be weighted against the public vote. In other words multiply say, the 80 out of 100 score against either the number of votes registered which is probably the best number to use, or Chris's place, which was presumably top (ie 3). Mind you the result would be the same, so the number of votes would be a better reflection. More complicated, but I'm sure the BBC can afford a PC that has Excel on it!!

I wonder how many people will jump on your back the way they jumped on mine last week when I said the exact same phrase when I was upset Ricky was in the DO? Probably none, because Im not a Cola fan and you are.

I can see a small amount of improvement in Chris and I commend him for his efforts, but I dont feel his improvement is as great as some make it out to be. I dont need to go to the opticians anyway, I went the other week.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother with my droll puns.

Still, thanks for a witty response, at least one poster is awake and in good humour.

There's no point in blaming the Great British Public, most of whom don't even watch SCD.

And I don't think the rudeness is because of how anyone votes; instead, it's a reaction to some of the sorts of comments that are made.

I agreed with Craig last night when he said he hadn't seen any improvement in Chris' dancing. I actually think his dances in the first week were his best efforts so far.

Yup, I see noone gave you the character assassination I had after all for telling people to go to Specsavers, its nice to know hypocrisy is alive and well on DS.

No problem, I could have done better but just been on a 12 hour night shift so had a bit of BrainFuzz going on
