Is Chris doing a Charleston Inspired Showdance?
SCD-Observer
12-12-2009
Let's face it, though I like Chris, I really am not looking forward to his showdance if it's what I've predicted: a Charleston-inspired number.

Tom Chambers gurned and he was slammed like nobody's business. Chris gurned and his fans just say: Awww. How cute!

Wonder why?

I really won't be surprised if Chris will emulate Tom Chambers and go for the comedy route of a showdance, while Ricky will do those he-man lifts.

How predictable.

Then again, I would have fallen asleep if it's an Ali/Ricky or Ali/Chris final, so I guess I can't complain.

I thought Chris' Charleston was genius, so I'd be very happy to see a showdance based on that.

Ricky's will have more technical content, but Chris' will be the bigger crowd pleaser.

Won't that be too similar to the lindyhop

I hear they're going to dress up as coke bottles and do the funky gibbon.

Not really the same (Lindy and Charleston). Lindy is sometimes found in jive while charleston is normally found in QS, one a latin dance and the other a ballroom dance.

I predict it will be inspired by the Charleston. I don't really know what to expect from Ricky but I'm looking forward to it!

I really hope Ricky doesn't try to emulate the pro show-dance and do a lot of those silly lifts.

I just hope he really comes out and do a R&R style showdance, with SOME lifts to show-case his physical strength while still injecting some fun in the routine. His R&R dance-off performance was too amazing for words.

Whatever style he is doing, we know this will be Chris dance.

Ricky has to do something especial to beat Team Cola showdance.

Ola's choreography has been great so far. I'm looking forward to whatever she creates for Chris for the showdance.

Is there a clip of that at all ? can only find the one he did in the main show which wasn`t so impressive

I think it would be great if Ricky did a Hip hop style routine, imagine that. We have not seen anything like that.

Getting sick of the grin and clap dances. Some originality please.

I was just saying tonight that Chris's showdance should have aspects of the Charleston in it if not be ALL Charleston. That would be certain to be a crowd pleaser. One thing for sure, Ricky's will have A LOT of lifts in it

Hmm...but then we've already seen one. I think it will be 'fun' and comic but isn't it bad if we can already guess?

I'd like to see Chris and Ola's showdance be something "fun" based, something that shows off their personalities and attitude throughout the whole series.

Totally agree! And really don't want to see anything (from any contestant, ever) like that professional exhibition number - whilst marvelling at the skill of it, it ain't dancing in my book. Not to mention what happened to Lisa and Brendan when they tried something like that last year...

He may very well do one. His other charleston stood him in good stead. It will be clunky and inferior and he may very well win.

Vote For Ricky to keep The Chris off the winners podium.

Well I think whatever Chris does it will be more entertaining than Ricky's which will be choreographed by that smug, arrogant overly-competitive Aussie, who will make it entirely full of lifts and little more.

Vote Team Cola to keep the Aussie's hands off our glitterball trophy.

Ricky win :yawn::yawn:

Chris win

Does it realy matter? He could do nothing for 90 seconds and he's still got it in the bag.
