...could it have won the show for him?

I know many people think Joe has it in the bag - myself included actually - but I've noticed that even people who aren't generally Olly fans, saying how much they liked his performance of "Superstition" tonight.

I'm an Olly fan, and thought it was outstanding... definitely his best night, and even his best performance on the series.

Plus, I know many people thought Olly would leave tonight... and yet, he's in the top two... was it down to that performance?

I'm expecting negative comments of course... but it'd be nice to have some honest and constructive opinions on this.

I thought it was brilliant. I came on here expecting people to praise it but there seemed to be alot of negativity. He put on a great performance I thought and he demonstrated he really does have a good voice, especially when he goes in that rough tone.

I agree. Although I kind of expected the opposite from here, in general... however, I was pleasantly surprised! Hence me starting this thread... I'm genuinely curious...

I thought he would have gained a lot of extra votes from his Robbie duet, however I'm thinking his "Superstition" performance could have easily gained him more....

Are you KIDDING me? If I was Stevie Wonder, listening to one of my classics being murdered by a nobody pub level singer on national T.V like that would have made me want to cut my own ears off.

I think it reminded people of his good audition. He hasn't been as good since his audition. Don't rate his voice at all though.

You would hope that some improvement would have been made along the way though - which is why I think Joe should ultimately win.

No, I'm not kidding anyone actually. Like I said, I'm asking a genuine question... but I also expected the criticism... so, thanks for reading the thread anyway.

Not an Olly fan at all and was fully expecting him to murder the song, but i wound up really enjoying it! Deffos gained him some support from non Olly fans i think.

How? I guarantee you can't provide a valid and reasonable answer as to how he "murdered" the song.

I think a lot of people on here are using Olly as someone they can dislike for no reason, constantly criticising his performances without actually saying anything constructive.

Perhaps feeling a little bit threatened that precious little Joe actually has some competition?

Makes a change on here, that's all... I'll agree that his duet wasn't the best, but I still think it was pretty good. Saying that, his other 2 performances were much better and definitely made up for it IMO.

I think that's exactly it.... Olly stands a good chance of winning now. People on here have thought he'd leave for weeks now... and he's in the Top Two... I think we could possibly see a 'shock' result tomorrow... maybe.

I am supporting Joe to win tomorrow, but I did really enjoy Olly's performance of Superstition. Well I thought most was good tonight but sadly only two could go through tonight and only one winner tomorrow.

There will always be a lot of negativity on here, doesn't matter how good someone is plenty will arrive on DS saying how awful.

Clearly!

I don't understand why though... are people bitter as their favourite is no longer there? Or are certain people just really that cruel? Fair play if you genuinely don't like a contestant, but the relentless criticism - usually personal attacks too - towards Olly is uncalled for. I don't like Joe, but it's obvious plenty of people do... I wouldn't start slating him on here just because he isn't my cup of tea.

So, how do you explain people who are not usually Olly fans, saying it was a great performance?

You've just proved my point exactly. You say it was "bloody awful" and make a karaoke comment. Have a bit of originality!

Ooh , kwertyop, he would be then deaf as well as blind, I don't think he would go that far, but I agree it was awful.

I thought him sliding on his back under the girls' dresses was pretty funny and the almost tripping made me crack up as well. It was a very cool performance
