You should be ashamed of yourselves, the only reason he is getting all the praise is because he has a pure pure voice and is head and shoulders above any other contestant in terms of having a recording voice.

He is a really nice and humble guy not cocky at all, is called boring yet has double the charm of Leona.

So please when we have a diamond like Joe we should get behind him yet the great British public as always wants to slag someone who has been note perfect throughout.

If Olly wins it will be a diabolical joke as he is lucky even to be in the final 5

Agree. People seemed to be more concerned about his sexuality, than his singing voice, and the fact that if we don't vote for him OLLY will win. Which CANNOT happen.

I do agree but I also think that Olly stole the show. Olly was better than he has ever been despite Robbie's errors and interuptions while they sang together.
Joe has been the quality singer throughout the series and I would like to see him win too but I wouldn't be suprised if after last night Olly takes the title.

I disagree that Olly stole the show, he is like John and Edward only a better singer, as they kept emphasising last night they are looking for a "voice" in that case there is no comparison.

Olly's first performance was the best he has done in the series in my opinion, however the duet with Robbie was like a couple of drunk mates at a karaoke and the lasdt song was nothing special. He would entertain me at a caberet night but he's not a special singer, he is very mediocre in that department.

Joe for me while not an entertainer in dancing terms has the ability to hold you glued to the set and gives you those moments when the hair on the back of your neck stand up, that is what I call having the X Factor.

I want to listen to great singers , if I wanted to be more entertained by the dancing then I would turn the channel, sorry those who keep going on about this are watching the wrong show. Just to make it simple for them.

X Factor - Singing Competition
Strictly - Dancing Competition

You need to to be able to sing to be a good dancer so I can see no reason why it should apply the other way round.

Olly lucky to be in the final you have no knowledge what so ever then. He had a great performance last night.

Its a singing competition yet people are complaining that Joe is always singing in tune not dancing round like a a fool. How anyone could say Olly deserves to win more than Joe is crazy.

I think I have a little more knowledge than you my friend, I notice the word performance always crops up when you mention Olly or John and Edward. It is never about the voicals I wonder why

There is only one reason Olly is in the final - Simon Cowell if he had been with any other mentor he would have been gone long ago, Simon seems to have the knack of getting the mediocre to the final- Same difference, Eoghan Quigg because too many people who know nothing about music listen to his hype. He has a knack of making alot of people actually believe that an act is better than it really is.

Olly and Joe are in my top three favourites this year (with Jamie).

I think Joe deserves to win because of his consistantly strong vocals.

If Olly had been more consistantly at his best, I would find it hard to chose between them. I have LOVED some of Olly's performances whilst for others my reaction has been "Oh dear no"

At the same time, I think, in terms of getting the best result for all, I hope Olly wins, as I think he needs it more than Joe. Joe will get a record deal anyway. I am not so sure about Olly

I agree that all this speculation about his sexuality is dreadful. The poor lad is 18, and very sweet and gentle looking. Does that make him gay? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. The fact is it has nothing to do with his singing, and anyway, I think he should be left alone to mature for a bit longer before being pressured into publicly admitting to what he may or may not be. Sometimes, there is a big price to pay for allowing a free press!

You accuse me of knowing nothing about music then make a ridiculous comment like that above in bold, that is the best laugh I have had in a long time, even the most ardent Olly fans could not say with hand on heart that he is a better singer than Olly.

When I mentioned John and edward I was talking about people in general and not you in particular.

Apart from Lloyd and the twins I can't actually say that there were any weaker singers in the competition. hopefully justice will be done tonight.

No as an Olly fan I can say that I don't think Olly is a better singer than Olly. I would go so far as to say that Olly is on par with Olly - week on week

Sorry, I disagree with the OP, he's boring. I call him B.O.B as all he can sing is boring old ballads. There is no variety at all, last night just proved that. He has only done 2 uptempo songs all series, and even they were marginally up tempo. At least Olly has variety, he can sing uptempo, he can sing from the soul, he can do ballads, he's an all rounder. Olly would have a far better career than Joe IMO, and I would expect to see Joe McEldery in the West End in 12 months where he belongs!!
I think the fact that George Michael didn't back the act he was singing with, unlike Buble and Williams did last night, actually says alot.
Joe will find it tough if he wins.

Mmmmmmm sorry but history doesn't say that, leona managed a great success singing boring old ballads as you say, so has Buble.

Some people think that up-tempo is the b all and end all of an act, every artist has their style and this up-tempo stuff people keep quoting is just a smokescreen for their true lack of knowledge of appreciation of music at it's finest.

Glad to see that you were amazed as I was at this absolute nonsense, olly has been the favourite to go for quite a few weeks and has been in the bottom two, he has not improved over the course of the competition and that is why he does not deserve his place on that stage.
