Hi

When one's contract is near it's end, is it possible to ask BT to maybe reduce certain charges (like line rental, add-ons like call barring etc...) ? (otherwise you're most likely to go to another provider ?)

Will BT agree to some compromise ?

Thanks in advance.

probably not.... line rental is pretty much the same across the board, and the charges for features differ from one provider to another, eg: caller display is free on BT, but £1.75/month on other providers.... its swings and roundabouts really, landline providers have a very limited amount of 'wiggle' room in comparison to say PayTV providers

Just phone them up, say you're thinking of cancelling but wanted to check first if they have any special offers. When I do this I tell them about a fictitious offer I've had from another company (don't take the piss though). They usually try to match it. I mean, whats the worst they can do? Say no.
