Voting Stats- Am I right??

Bearing in mind my maths isnt always the best- does this mean the voting public went

Chris
Ali
Ricky

I cant see another way that Chris wouldnt have been voted out unless the judges score was exactly reversed? So Ali did actually have more support from the public that Ricky and Nat??

Feel free to correct if this is wrong...

Judges

Chris 1
Ali 2
Ricky 3

Public

Chris 2
Ali 1
Ricky 3

or

Chris 3
Ricky 2
Ali 1

Don't forget if there is a tie, the public vote counts higher.

No, because then Ali and Ricky would both have 4 points. In that case, Ricky would have gone out as he'd only have 1 point from the public over Ali's 2 points.

The public voting went:
Chris
Ricky
Ali

Giving them totals of:
4
5
3

Which is why Ali was eliminated.

EDIT: unless you want to assume that Ricky topped the public vote of course... I don't

The outcome you have given would have seen Ricky go out as all three contestants would have had 4 points and it would have gone with the public vote. The two possible outcomes were:

Ricky, Chris, Ali or Chris, Ricky, Ali.

I think we know that Ali must have received the fewest votes.

We don't know who had the most...conceivably it could have been Ricky although I'm sure many will assume it was Chris.

Ricky could have topped the public vote. Not inconceivable in a semi. He could also pick up Ali's votes in the final if people are voting for dancer over personality.

If they were doing that, they would have voted for Ricky in the first place - he is a far better dancer than she is.
If DS is any indication, Ali fans now largely fall into 2 groups: those throwing a strop, saying they'll not watch it next week, and those now voting for Chris.

I am clutching at straws here
Want to stop the Chris bandwagon.
