Will Olly?!

Both of them are no-hopers.

Unlike Leon, Joe can sing in tune and has stage presence. As for his future success, I can't see him following Leona and Alexandra in terms of success - more of a Shayne Ward. He's got a great voice but I don't think there's necessarily a gap in the market or need for another pretty boy with a great voice. That seems to be acceptable for the girls but pop fans look for more showmanship in the guys.

The problem for whoever wins is following Leona and Alexandra, as comparison will always be made... and never in this years favour either.

Therefore whoever is second... I'm presuming Olly... will get a better career in the long run, as he can go at his own pace and not worry about X Factor press. Whoever wins will have vanished by this time next year, the loser can release when they want to release, not when Simon decides to.

I am inclined to agree with this. In my opinion, Stacey should have won. She has a magnificant voice and clearly had the X Factor! Joe is good, but he just hadn't got anything different about him and has done ballards throughout the competition! Leon shouldn't have won, Rhydian clearly should have!

Lets be honest, it's just a popularity contest these days! You could have the most fantastic voice in the world, but if you're not popular, you won't get through! Apart from Leona, the wrong person always wins!

Bill Murray, that's who should be judging! Jedword would've made his day with their Ghostbusters routine!

Don't forget Will, the only one to have such a lengthy career from a reality show.

I think Girls Aloud have been the biggest reality TV hit. I think what these two acts (GA and Will) have done is completely shaken the tag of 'reality' off.

I reckon that the 'reality' act every year is getting more and mpore assocaited with the show though.

With Joe, I reckon he'll have a good selling Winner's single. When it comes to the album, there might be more of a battle. I still think he'll do well, but the likes of Leona and Alex got prime time Radio 1 playlisting.

Will Joe be more of a Radio 2 lister? Still good but not as great as Radio One? I dunno?

There's too many of them, that's the problem... ITV have almost 100% made sure that the winners have no chance of succeeding. The minute their album is out, the next series has started, and people are wanting to see the next one, not last years old news.

I think X Factor should be every other year, give the winner a chance to get somewhere first.

Joe would look very out of place on Radio 1.

Radio 2 will love him but it won't help him sell singles. If he can shift a large number of albums though then he'll be fine but, as you suggest, it'll be more difficult.

Joe actually said in an interview with the Star or somewhere that he likes singing the older songs he gets rather than the modern ones, I doubt he'll go down the 'poppy' route... Whether that will help him or not I don't know.

Of course it's going to be another Leon, Joe is bland as a dishwasher, and they coudn't have found someone with less sex appeal if they tried.

Here's my problem with Joe... fab voice, niche market. And no personality either sadly.

Olly can entertain, and can also perform more modern songs. With Joe no matter what he does, you word it "he can sing..."... with Olly you say "he can perform..."

And there's the difference.

It all depends on what direction they decide to take with his debut album.

Leona's strength was power ballads so that's the direction her album went. Alexandra showed she was a more versatile singer so her album shows both sides.

The route they took Leon down was too narrow and that's why he failed to be successful and was dropped.

It will be interesting to see what that first single is come next September because it will either make or break him

That's quite astute, because I predict dish washing is where his career will be heading once he enjoys his one hit.

I agree. Joe is like Rhydian in a way, great voice, but Niche market.

Olly has mass appeal.

Ouch, I don't want Joe to win, but I still think in terms of the stage he'd have a pretty amazing career.

He's just not meant for records that's all.

Ok so now Stacey is gone, who I wanted to win I'm now torn who I want to win between Olly or Joe.

Do I hope Joe wins because he's been most consistent, great voice, lovely person etc. but I can't see him being majorly successful once show has finished or............

Do I vote for Olly coz he's been entertaining to watch and I can see him being more successful and appeal to a wider audience?

It's a toughie, think I'll take it 2 deadlock & let the rest of the public decide!
