Now that I see Sky has added the Food Network to channel 262, I'm hoping wholeheartedly that this can be added to Freesat !!!! as it's the ONLY thing that I am lacking on Freesat...some kind of foodie channel.

If I can add this to my Foxsat HDR, can you please explain to me step by step how? I really can't get my head around the extra channel thing. Pleaaaaaase !

Menu Setup manual Tune. Change The transponder from all to 11344 H 27500 2/3 and press search. You are now in non-freesat mode and have an extra menu option STB mode to change between the 2 modes

Film24 on 11585H - some good films and series, film and game reviews

Propeller on 11307H - short films and UK music

Unexplained Channel on 11259V - mystery docs and old sci-fi/horror films

Brit Shorts on 11426H - international short films

Luxe TV HD on 12643H - basically pretty pictures, art, cars, fashion, travel in HD

Sky News on 12207V

CBS Reality +1 on 11261H , Moviesmen1+1 on 12524H and Moviesmen2+1 on 11259V (only if the main channels interest you though)

Community Channel on 12226H, some interesting docs on social and environment issues (shows some BBC docs)

and a TV guide too. Luxe HD looks nice.... was thinking it looked better than BBC HD has been lately but too early to judge.

Now I need to find a quicker way of selecting non FS channels when I'm in FS mode.... still a bit confusing. I hope there's an easier way than menu / STB mode / Freesat or NonFreesat every time.

There's no other way to swap modes I'm afraid. Even a programmable remote has problems as the key strokes aren't consistant

Why can't they let us add manually tuned channels by choosing a channel number e.g. in a range that is not used, perhaps 7xx?

If I set up Sky News, I want to select by just entering a channel number at any time in the future - is this not possible?

It's not on a Humax freesat box, can't answer for the others though

This food stuff - I got a message saying "update for new channels" - so I did (hoping I wouldn't have to re-do my fave list etc) and it was fine. I got the new channels added to my fave list, so was able to delete them, and I am back where I started.
Oh, and I've worked out how you copy programmes from a Humax Foxsar HDR to memory stick. Took me a fortnight to work it out, but now I know!!
