Creative Zen M: Player 30gb

Hi all,

I have a nice Zen Vision M player, and I've changed laptops a few times since getting it. Somewhere in the process I've lost the CD and Ive been trying to find the software online that lets me plug and play - by opening up a creative Zen organiser of some sort that enables me to sync etc.

I'm Windows Vista 32 bit, Would anyone know of a link that will work?

Thanks loads,
D

Hi,

Try this link for the Creative Media Explorer.

I've still got my 60gb ZVM, works perfectly on my Windows 7 PC, though never had to use the Explorer software. Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for that - I've already tried it but it isn't recognising that my player is plugged in. Figured I'd give media player a go! Just transferred a few albums, only have a few mb left on it. Any other creative players you can recommend that you can still get with 60gb?

Wouldn't touch an ipod with a barge pole. Made that mistake 3 times before stumbling upon the creative!

I have never had a problem using Windows Media Player with my Creative devices. I have a Creative Zen Vision m and a Creative Zen Mosaic.

I have the very same machine (lovely piece of kit, my favourite player by a long way) but have never tried it in Vista.
When I've had my cup of tea, I'll hook it up to the laptop and see if Vista recognises it. This will be their first meeting, so either it will go well or I'll have the same problem you did.

I know there was an issue with XP. way back when, so perhaps that may have carried through?

Stay tuned to this channel...

When will I learn to READ these messages???
I see it's not that the Zen isn't detected, but that you need the Zen Media Explorer software?
Well, as someone said, Windows Explorer does everything you need, but nevertheless I tried copying my installation disc, but it's too beat up now to even be read!

Never fear: I've come across a torrent and am downloading as we speak, but it's verrrryyyy slllooooowww, so once I have it downloaded I'll pm it to ya.
Night!

I'm not forgetting you! Believe it or not, after a full day it still shows about 8 hours to go! Then I have to upload it to Rapidshare or somesuch...

Patience is a virtue. We'll get there...

OK that's downloaded fully at last!
It's a big file, so if you want it uploaded let me know --- it's about 614 meg.
Thx
