Clearly what should have happened was for Joe McElderry to do a cover of Killing in the Name of. Now that I would be happy to pay four quid for.

I am pleased to say i have never, & will never, buy anything for my own personal delectation recorded by any of the X factor or Pop idol winners. Unfortunately i do work in music retail so will have to sell the damned thing.

Yes and people should stop being so bitter about not buying it (which is fair enough) but wanting to go buy RATM just to spite the whole thing, it's awful.

Definiately not. Downloading RATM now!

Nope.

Having said that, I rarely buy singles now anyway. I just wait for an album to be released. Unless it's an artist I've always followed, or a really awesome song (which is quite rare in the music industry these days, IMO), I'd rather save the 79p or whatever. The last single I bought was Dolly Parton's "Here You Come Again".

Most of the #1's are so overplayed anyway there's no point in buying them. Even if I was a fan of Cheryl's FFTL, I wouldn't buy it. It's on constantly on radio/music channels that i dont see point in spending the money.

Likewise, I can see The Climb being severely overplayed in the coming days/weeks. Come Christmas Day, I can see me not daring to venture through music channels because it's the same thing over and over again.

I was going to say Joe McElderry covers "bombtrack"

Now that would be a clash of the Titans
