10 million? 2/3 million probably... This Morning has never got 10 million, and never will get 10 million!

I do expect ratings to be up across the board though. Looking forward to the primetime ratings....

I think the news ratings will soon start to dip as this snow news is bordering on the brain dead. I watched a bit of each last night and was treated to the following revelations:

1 when snow freezes it turns to ice
2 ice is slippy
3 cars dont cope with ice well
4 children are building snowmen & throwing snowballs
5 aniumals dont like the snow

anyone who can take more than 15 minutes of this "news for morons" is a stronger man than me. Thank God for NewsNight last night. Real news for grown ups.

Sorry. I've just noticed that c4sales hadn't updated since before Xmas! So the ITV3 share is unknown at the moment...

The 3 stand out ratings there are obviously the fantastic ratings for the Regional News and Celebrity Mastermind. Given that Celebrity Mastermind is only 1.1m behind Emmerdale, I'm tempted to call Emmerdale's rating poor... although I won't.

BBC's makeshift schedule did OK, and ITV did well with YBF! and Above Suspicion.

I bet daytime did really well yesterday as well, with mainly 2/3m ratings.

Shock news re J Ross.

Wonder what slot ITV will give him - 9pm, or stick to 10.30?

Bet Piers isn't impressed...

Clearly not, with 5.1m watching an extended You've Been Framed repeat.

I doubt ITV have the money for him. If he has gone to them, he'll undoubtably get a 9pm slot though, ITV don't have that sort of money for 10.35pm. Alternating with Paul O'Grady presumably. If he has gone to ITV, Piers will be furious!

I'd say it's far more likely he's gone to Sky, though.

Yesterday on Twitter he said he had a meeting with someone who had flown in from the US especially, so he had to go despite the snow.

Maybe he's signed a deal in the US?

Peter Fincham was the one that gave him the £18m contract, so it wouldn't be completely unthinkable.

Surprising considering people were suggesting New Tricks could dent (or even beat) Above Suspicion. Glad it finished on a high though.

So, BBC One now have a massive gap in their Friday night schdule. I can't see Norton taking on a show 42 weeks a year, as his other committments (Eurovision, ALW shows) wouldn't leave him with much time off.

Personally, I'd love to see the BBC sign up Dara O'Briain. He and Norton could alternate with each other, which would give the channel two good presenters in that slot, but would also allow the pair to pursue other projects at the same time.

It will be interesting what the BBC do to fill the gap when Ross leaves in the summer!!

I must admit he made some very interesting documentaries for the BBC, the one I remember was a series about the darker side of Hollywood and its stars..which was very interesting and well made..I don't think it has ever been repeated..which is a shame!

As for a chat show host I think he was starting to get a bit stale..I think he is doing the right thing in trying something else and moving on!

Thats exactly what i thought when i first heard the news. I wonder if they may not have just a chat show there, and do what they have been doing on monday nights and have lots of comedy series (Would I Lie To You?, Omid Djalili, Graham Norton and the news Not Going Out will be in that slot)

There's no guarantee Norton will make the switch anyway I suppose. Jay Hunt poached him from BBC Two as she wanted to bring a younger audience to BBC One, which I believe his show has been quite successful at doing in it's current slot. Moving him to Friday nights would mean moving him to a night when most of his potential younger audience was out.

I suppose BBC One will have a bit more money to play around with now though
