If they wait until after BGT, then theres no space before the World Cup - but there is about 10 weeks (or perhaps as many as 12 if SCD gets shortened) after it.”
I'd forgotten about Let's Dance.

They've started the auditions for Over the Rainbow, I read it on the Reality TV forum. They could be ready for late February/early March but Let's Dance will take the slot then.
Of course, what I'd forgotten was with I'd Do Anything they did have a show on Eurovision night but aired it early and dropped Doctor Who for a week so it's possibel they'd do it again. The Results Show were on Sundays, a la Strictly Come Dancing 2008.
So they could work it as:
23rd January: So You Think You Can Dance?
30th January: So You Think You Can Dance?
6th February: So You Think You Can Dance? Final
13th February: Let's Dance
20th February: Let's Dance
27th February: Let's Dance
7th March: Let's Dance
13th March: Let's Dance
20th March: Let's Dance Final
27th March: Eurovision: Your Country Needs You
3rd April/4th April: Over the Rainbow (Audition/Bootcamp)
10th April/11th April: Over the Rainbow (Live Show 1)
17th/18th April: Over the Rainbow
24th/25th April: Over the Rainbow
1st/2nd May: Over the Rainbow
8th/9th May: Over the Rainbow
15th/16th May: Over the Rainbow
22nd/23rd May: Over the Rainbow
29th/30th May: Over the Rainbow (and Eurovision)
5th/6th June: Over the Rainbow
12th June: Over the Rainbow final
Trouble with that is it'd mean the Final would be up against England's opening match in the World Cup (if ITV win the rights. If BBC gain the rights, then it'd be a scheduling nightmare). Considering it has to contend with Britian's Got Talent and The Champions League Final as well it's not good.
They won't cut Let's Dance back because Sport Relief weekend is 19th-21st March, so the final will most likely be on the 20th.
The other option they have (as already stated) is hang back with Over the Rainbow until the World Cup finishes. So it could be:
July 17th/18th: Auditions and Bootcamp
July 24th/25th: Live Show 1
July 31st/August 1st: Live Show 2
August 7th/8th: Live Show 3
August 14th/15th: Live Show 4
August 21st/22nd: Live Show 5
August 28th/29th: Live Show 6
September 4th/5th: Live Show 7
September 11th/12th: Live Show 8
September 18th/19th: Live Show 9
September 25th/26th: Live Show 10
But if Strictly is the same length as last year, then it'd start the weekend of September 18th. Common sense would dictate it needs shortening. I guess they could cut Over the Rainbow's Live Shows to 8 if need be. It leaves 11 weeks pre-World Cup very reliant on Doctor Who but it could work.
