It seems like Score's prediction (about what happened to American Idol) was very correct!

The two-hour show, which saw Joe McElderry triumph over rival Olly Murs, averaged 15.62m (53.2%) between 8pm and 10pm, peaking with an impressive 19.11m (61.9%) at 9.20pm.
Did it not start at 7:30 and end at 9:30?

15.62m (53.2%) average!
EDIT: I presume the average is correct, I'm guessing DS has just got the time slightly wrong. |

How frustrating though - 0.1m away from that massive BGT peak. I cannot believe Simon Cowell managed that though - I never thought he'd get a final of any show close to that 19.2m again and he went and did it 6 months later!

Blimey considering the numbers, you'd expect the share to be a bit higher than that! 30 million watching TV? Is that normal for a Sunday?

Susan Boyle's show did brilliantly as well. Could be one of the Top 10 shows of the year if it timeshifts well.

BGT average 15m for main show, then 17.6m for the 30 minute results show. X Factor will probably average at least around 17.6m for their last 30 mins, if not higher. |

Xtra Factor: 1.87m (7.6%)
Not as high as BGMT, but I guess it wasn't expected to be, given BGT had a 'shock' result. |
