Clearly, they have too much time on their hands. If the BBC need to save money, they could start by axing the schedulers. Scheduling should be the job of the channel controller. Isn't that what controller means? To control your channel. If I was a channel controller, I'd certainly bloody expect to decide where all the programmes go. (Traffic Cops off you go to 1am. On BBC4.)”
If they really want to save money they could hand the scheduling job to us for free. I'm sure a few of us would be willing to do it.
Nice to see New Tricks back. It's been too long without it on TV - and it's hardly shown anymore.
I guess as The Weakest Link is a special, it's getting a better slot. Why they're not airing it in an early evening slot and shoving everything else forward is anyone's guess, though.
At least ITV have given Married, Single or Other the best opportunity to succeed with a Monday 9pm slot. I hope it succeeds, simply because ITV1 need more non-crime drama.

Good night for the Other terrestrial channels last night. Five again getting 1m+ (indeed, nearly 3m at 9pm) across the evening yet again, Channel 4 having a brilliant night for them, minus Hollyoaks which seems slightly down once again - I thought it was capable of getting nearer 1.5m?
BBC2 beat ITV1 from 8pm onwards (possibly from 7.30pm onewards but there's no rating for then), Channel 4 beat ITV in the9pm slot, possibly in the 10pm slot too depending how the post news programme did on ITV1. Five also beat ITV1 at 9pm. Basically awful for ITV1 and they just don't appear to be bothered with Tuesday's. Interesting to see News at Ten still getting 2m viewers despite the pathetic lead in.
Good night for BBC1 up until 9pm. With that kind of lead in and weak opposition, Survivors should be doing better really.
