Dull - check
Boring - check
Choir - check
Go's up a key - check
Impassioned arm movements - check

Groundhog day with these Pub Turn Factor winners dittyys. You seriously have to question the mental state of this nation in that people actualy pay for crap like this? He sounds like a dog turd being pushed up & down a cheese grater.

I actually prefer Miley "The Virus" Cyrus's version to that appalling effort, and that's saying something...

Miley > Olly > Joe.

Joe just saps all emotion from it, imo.

Because he's got an opinion? Just because it's a negative one doesn't mean that it's any less valid than you thinking it's "amazing"

Very dull, formulaic song. Suited to Joe out of the finalists. Very forgettable, like all the past X Factor winning songs.

Notice how the recent (X Factor) Christmas no. 1s get played every year. No they don't.

I do find it remarkable how people get so programmed that they will rush out and buy even the duffest single to be part of the crowd. It's not about the music is it?

Just how often do those that buy these songs play them months down the line?

Each to their own of course, and Joe seems a decent enough 18 year old lad with a sugary voice - good luck to him - that said, it is quite a bizarre phenomenon.

Joe chatted to Radio 1's entertainment reporter earlier today and was asked about the RATM facebook campaign, and he said he'd be 'devastated' if he didn't get the christmas no.1. pathetic.

that's all they ever care about on x factor - making sure they get to no.1 in the charts. they couldn't care less about how bad and unoriginal the song is, and they certainly don't care about making good music, as long as it sells to the kids who watch the show.

The original is bad enough, this can just add to the undeserved christmas number ones list.

Right... So, Alexandra Burke & JLS won 1st & 2nd place respectively last year. Both have had good success.

They topped it all with a duet on the final night(or collaboration or super turn.... whatever you want to call it) in front of the UK millions.

So we know 10 million punters are happy to splash money on a voting system that is pointless at best but we assume they won't spend the same amount of money on said product they voted for. I don't get it. The British public are even more stupid than I originally thought.

I haven't phone voted in X-Factor, ever.

How do you know he doesn't write his own songs? Anyway in the contract he is probably advised what to sing. Will and Gareth had a contract for one year when they had to toe the company line.

Also, don't forget that Joe is very, very new to this business they call show! If he said he would be devastated, I expect he would. Poor lad, give him at least a bit of a chance.

Would imagine it will be any day - it'll be the usual thrown together clip of him in an empty theatre and on a randomly decorated sound stage, interspersed with clips of his X-Factor "journey".

Well if you bought RATM single then you're just as bad, because obviously you care too.

If 10 year kids want to buy it, then let them, it's not up to you to decide what they should or should not buy. I hate the X-Factor as much as anyone, never bought it, never watched it, but this campaign has no right to go around around effectively slapping 10 year old kids on the wrist telling them that their music choice is somehow "outlawed". This campaigns worse

I think the campaign is great. It shows that not everybody is happy with the production line dross that the X Factor is responsible for. It is also funny that RATM are selling more records than Cliff, just off the back of a Facebook campaign, and not after an 8 week long commercial on prime-time Saturday night television, newspapers, magazine shows etc.

Good luck, Joe! I love a winner's song and The Climb is no exception. It's lovely and Christmassy and inspirational and would make a perfect Christmas number one.

Go Joe! x

There's something not right about that RATM lead. It's getting to the point that its becoming too unrealistic now. Are there some big donors out there or something? I can't believe there are going to be 500,000 different people buying this. "When I get home from work I must buy that RATM single to stop Simon Cowell!"

Please.

Could you imagine that there some people sitting behind their computers buying this over a 100 times a day?? HAHA
