were those last year viewing figures taken last year the day after the final also, if not a tad unfair to compare IMO.

Danyl got a lot of hype before the show and even appeared on US TV as 'the next Susan Boyle' so no suprise his views will be higher. Stacey did really well to get over 8 million.

Isn't that the same circumstances as the viewing figures for the season 6 people?
