Tsk tsk. Where do you get these ideas from?

Although who is to say there isn't a dim and dingy nightclub in Argentina where frumpy dinerladies tango the night away

Think we can all identify with that!

Speaking of horrific styling, do you think Erin was forced at gunpoint to wear that hideous fringed purple monstrosity for the tango with Ricky G?

Or is she just plain crazy? One or the other, has to be.

The shoes were too low and she looked awkward .
I am a fan of Alis and honestly feel that many thing contributed to her downfall ,and one of them may very wel have been the dress .”

She was told by Len I believe , in an early show to wear lower shoes and she has . Noticeably this series a few of the female celebrities have been wearing much lower shows and not just for the Charleston.

I didn't particularly like the dress but I wouldn't say it didn't suit her and certainly wasn't to blame for her not producing a wow factor AT .
If she was unhappy she could have asked for it to be changed

were the lower shoes not due to the fact that Ali is still suffering since her injury?

It wasn't the height so much as the clumpiness ... surely you can get lower shoes that have a narrow heel? The big heel just made her legs and ankles look thick and that is so not the case at all!

I didn't like the back of the dress at all but, you're right those shoes were a "horror". I doubt if there are many "vamps" walking the streets of Buenos Aires in those!

It was awful....it is the worst dress I have ever seen.

She wore something pretty awful the previous couple of weeks so yes, she was either in a prolonged hostage situation or she's a loop de loop*....

*I don't mean it really....I loves Erin ....just not her dresses*

Not saying dressing for Argentine tango is the same as for rumba and samba. Below is the adorable World Number 6 Melinda Torokgyorgy from Hungary with her new, stronger partner Andrej Skufca from Slovenia.

A little black dress, with the slit beautifully placed. Seeing her close up as I did last May, with her short bouncy hair worn naturally as here, she looked the sweetest teenager.

I like the dress of both couples.

I don't like the dancing much though, he reminds me of a dancing Stretch Armstrong dressed in black. Sorry, I know they're really good in their world, but that looks bizarre to me, just not normal.

I think it was truly an atrocious choice, Ali is a gorgeous woman with a cracking set of pins but IMO, the dress was cut way too long and made her look dowdy - positively dinnerlady-ish! (No offence to any sexy dinnerladies out there.)

The hair being big on her petite face, with outsize flower stuck to it didn't help either.”

The dress was more suited to an evening at a nice restuarant.

Matronly, and as you can see from her Samba, Ali has an amazing figure and in particular, lovely legs.

I loved the dress from the front. It wasn't that long, just below her knees. I think that is prefect length for a skirt s very few people have nice knees. The back wasn't as good, the split did look a bit funny, and the back could have been more covered.

Ali is a gorgeous young woman and I don't know quite how they managed to make her look so frumpy! The dress was the most unflattering length it could possibly have been. Even if people aren't keen on their knees, take a few inches off the skirt and attention will be drawn to the upper leg and the legs' overall shape rather than the knees. It should have had a side not a back split. If the shoes had to be black and low, they should have been lightened up with cutout details like Ola's had. Poor Ali.

I thought Ali looked beautiful and her hair and make up possibly the best of the series. I loved the dress - as they say 'sometimes less is more', you don't always need to be showing vast amounts of skin. It showed off her figure and elegance.

Talk about kicking someone when they are down - contribute to a positive thread, life is too short to be so negative.

I'm afraid I didn't like it either, the skirt bit would have been better on the other way round with the gap at the front and the shoes were a bit matrony

I think Ali must have made a enemy of someone in the wardrobe department as I think almost all her dresses have been a poor match for her.

I think stronger colours would have helped her sell her dances, instead of which she has been dressed in pale pastel colours that don't help at all. The AT dress had strong colours but was weirdly cut; quite an achievement to make her long slim calves look heavy and dumpy!

This thread is hardly a kicking ,.Its a disscussion about the dress and how it looked wrong .,
This is a disscussion board and for disscussion . It is by no means knocking Ali ,.
Her dress was simply all wrong for a stunningly beautifull young woman ,

Nobody is kicking Ali most posts comment on how beautiful she is, plenty are kicking the wardrobe department, which is an entirely different matter. Fair enough you have a different opinion on the dress, but please don't accuse us of something that obviously isn't true.

Ali's figure and face are pretty perfect.
If *she* can't carry a dress off, it's the dresses fault.

Gold/ nude shoes would have been better.
I wonder if those shoes were a last minute substitution?

Agreed. I voted for Ali every week! I think she's lovely.

It was wardrobe that got things hideously wrong.

But she has the chance to say No , to have it changed to wear a different dress.
She , and Brian , agreed to it .
