Has the 14 week hate campaign against Ricky backfired now?

A hate campaign??????...OP you really are taking it to extremes ...Because someone doesn't enjoy watching a particular couple, it hardly equates to a hate campaign..Ali was boring.. and Ricky is bland but to be honest I don't think Natalie has done him any favours...I don't know why but there is something about her I just don't like, ridiculous she's on a TV screen but it's all we have to go on...There has certainly been no hate campaign, in fact the judges have favoured him from day one.

Either that or people who didn't like Ricky/Natalie felt justified in what they were saying on the anti Ricky boards and don't feel what they said was that bad.

I also wonder, there have only been a small amount of Ricky fans out on the boards since the early week, so there were minimal numbers with the cnfidence to defend him against the large amount of Anti Ricky threads whereas Chris has had so much support on here that if someone dared say anything against him, they were immediately shouted down by the Cola Massive.

I've not read all the anti Chris threads because they are repetative and don't contribute anything decent to the discussion on here. However, what I've read doesn't seem that bad, certainly no worse than what has been said about a lot of celebs.

What's taken me ages on here is to develop a thick skin. Us WWW's have also been subject to mocking and disdain for having the gall to support Ricky and that has been difficult to deal with. I suggest Cola fans do the same, it just isn't worth getting angry on here so late in the game.”

I think you are on to something there. I certainly never venture into appreciation or ant-threads of a couple I'm not interested in. I also hardly ever go to the show thread or the ITT thread (I watch the show without being on the computer). I only went into anti-Ricky and for that matter anti-Natlie C threads if I really was disgusted or interested in the topic (and in both cases I defended them despite not supporting them).

I think the problem with the anti-chris threads is that they haven't stopped for almost 2 weeks and are very repetitive and childish.

I don't support any threads personally attacking SCD contestants and so agree with your post, especially the point I've highlighted.

While I can't vouch for the content of all the anti-Ricky threads, I have to say that I'm not aware they extended to his partner (if he has one presently), his family or his fans, as those slagging off Chris have. Indeed, Chris' supporters have relentlessly been branded 'thick', 'deluded' and 'gullible' - to name but three. Terms and conditions, anyone?

It would make for a much better atmosphere on here if all this nonsense could now stop. The bad feeling it creates does nobody any good (least of all the ones perpetuating it). Everyone has their own favourites and that's fine. End of! (Please?! )
