Canon IXUS 95 IS

Through various mishaps we have made our way through a few IXUS cameras and have always been happy (the only downside is the ever increasing pixel count but that seems inavoidable...).

Anyway, the last was an 80 IS, it looks like the next will be the 95 IS. With the 80 IS I especially liked the controllable exposure, the digital macro mode and its size is perfect.

I just wonder if I'm a bit too blinkered and whether there are any better alternatives out there. Any suggestions? Thanks!

To be honest you would be better going for a DSLR, though this may not fall into budget. Have a look at the Samsung camera with the screen on the front, it is about £100 more, but may be more flexible. there are many cameras out there that will do what the Canon does..

It depends really how seriously you take photography. Try to go for a more advance model when you upgrade, as a camera can hold you back if your skill out grow it...

Thanks OldHippy - I had a look at the ST550 and it does indeed look pretty good, I like the double screen. As for the DSLR, I already have one so this is the 'fits in the pocket' option.
