No Improvement from Chris

After reading so many posts from supporters of Chris constantly saying that he has improved more than anyone else i decided to watch his very first dance and compare it to his dance in the semi finals and it is clear that there is little or no improvment in his ability to dance after all these weeks, the only impressive parts of the routines are from Ola who is a very talented dancer herself.

See for yourselves how little improvement he has made!

Semi Final Rumba

The Team Cola fans seem to be deluded in to thinking that he has improved as if it somehow justifies him winning ahead of Ricky.

A bit unfair. They don't really believe it they are just trying to persuade the gullible.

Yes, indeed I've seen many such posts on here, people suddenly declaring they'll vote Cola because some of us like them, our powers of persuasion are legendary, in fact, if we could be bothered and there wasn't tea to be drunk and biscuits to be eaten we'd probably mount a bid for world domination, that and its a bit parky out at the moment.

Could this not have gone in one of the several other threads saying exactly the same thing?

Undoubtedly.

But then how would the OP get noticed??

I don't think either finalist has improved significantly in terms of technique. Ricky was great at the start and still is. Each couple has good points and less good ones in other ways.

I find it sad for Chris that absolutely no body had defended the point and claimed that he has improved. Too busy telling people they shoudn't discuss the sainted Chris on a discussion board.

He has improved by the way, not by as much as the other semi- finalists but he has worked and he has improved. He clearly hasn't conquered most of the dances he has tackled including the rumba and in general his latin is poor but he couldn't have performed that tango in week one and his ballroom is slowly but steadily getting better.

This is such a big point that Chris's fans are always going on about so it deserves a thread of its own to expose how untrue all the claims of the Chris fans are that he has improved over all the weeks he's been on SCD.

And i don't care about being noticed unlike the Chris fans that have posted here who can barely even construct a sentence. I made a legitimate argument about Chris's dance ability and all his fans can do is make petty little comments, if you can't handle honest criticism you're in the wrong place, maybe you should make a Team Cola forum so you can all worship Chris to your hearts content.

No one has said he can't be discussed. Too often that discussion becomes an attack such as on his height, his face, how the BBC are biased towards him, how he's orchestrated a publicity campaign etc etc. Even now it can't be a straight discussion as you feel the need to preface his name with 'sainted' in an attempt at sarcasm.

Given that this subject has been discussed at GREAT length on numerous other threads, 'petty' is the right word for this thread. Constructive criticism is fine, boring repetition is just boring.

I tend to find most of the comments in forums like these come from fans of SCD that just can't be bothered with the sniping that is coming from both side.

It is interesting to look at how the finalists have progressed since the beginning of the competition and that is a great topic for a thread, however it's a shame that it had to come along with "bashing" of one of the contestants and their supporters.

PS The appreciation threads are in the "Attic" I suspect there are already a large number of devotees of both couples up there hiding until the series is over.

Spot on. Also your PS highlights how much searching the OP did on the subject, before starting yet another thread.

I will defend him.......unfortunately for Chris he started off really well his Rumba week in week 1 was absolutely great, he then went through a real sticky patch where he lost confidence and had trouble remembering his routines, he turned this around and has been slowly but surely improving.....perhaps unwisely he loved the rumba so much they reprised it in the semi final and although it was still great it wasnt any better than than week 1. He dip in the middle of the show meant that he ran out of time to make leaps and bounds.

I would also question that Ricky and Natalie had improved more than him........I think all of them have been pretty static to be honest. Ali did beautiful ballroom from week 1 and never did get to grips with the 'performance' needed to really pull off the latin. I cant really see improvement in Ricky he has been of a very high standard from week 1. I am sure that a pro dancer could tell me different (like that reverse twirl thing that James talked about yesterday on ITT) but to your average viewer that goes over our heads. He connected more with the audience on Saturday but that was the first time and the only change in his dancing that I could see.

I am not in the camp that Chris has improved greatly but I dont think any of them did in this series its been an odd series in that respect. I think Jade might have been the journey in this series.

Perhaps you didnt realise that this thread is just one of many in the last couple of days all on the same sort of tack.....so perhaps that is why we are somewhat bored by them........anyway thats another vote for Chris on Saturday because of yet another bashing thread being started.

That's just what I'm doing - everytime someone annoys me on here I give another vote to Chris!
