I remember this being mentioned on ITT last year when Tom Chambers reached the final, but they don't seem to have mentioned it this year with Chris (or have I missed it?)

So Matt Dawson, Matt De Angelo, Tom Chambers and Chris Hollins all danced the first dance of the series and then made it to the final. Can anyone remember if this is true of any of the other series?

Chris wasn't the first dancer Rav Wilding was.

I didn't think Chris was the first person to dance this series, it's such a long time ago though, I thought it was Rav??

The BBC probably tried to get him to dance first afterall they wanted him to win all along didnt they, but thought that would be a bit obvious so they sent out Rav (another BBC employee) so they could have all their bases covered

They may actually have thought that Rav was the better bet earlier on. Now they're probably quite pleased because they can produce this to counteract allegations of favouritism - "No you're wrong don't you see? If we really had been setting him up for the win from the start we'd have sent him out first! Duh!"
