Hm. Don't rememeber the flower but do remember Orac and your hot haircut.

Not sure I appreciate being lumped together with a plastic prop with some flashing lights and a funny voice, but thanks for the compliment.

Don't remember the metal flower, but do remember Orac. I preferred Zen though. Orac lacked a screen, which seemed to make him/it uncomputerlike to my untutored schoolboy mind!

Speaking as a fan of neither finalists, having 39 postings about yourself is actually a compliment. Regardless of pro or anti, it shows Cola matters to the public.

I question if there are as many postings about Ricky. His supporters come out only once a year. Will they turn out on two consecutive Saturdays?

Am I allowed to reply to this thread with the sarcasm it deserves - or will it then be removed which'll result in 'Oh the Cola supporters ruin everything because of their sarcasm'?

As for the giggling ... I can't say in a forum like this - - but there was once a very amusing story on popbitch about JP that I think Poison_Feng is alluding to ...?”

JP by her own admission is a confirmed giggler.

She never saw herself as sexy and could not stop laughing at the thought.

Sorry to all of those deprived people who have never grown up with Blakes 7 and gone to bed at night dreaming about Servalan.

Now if she was on SCD?????

It also might have something to do with some fans voting hundreds of times for their faves to the bewildered amusement of the less er, comitted in the audience Maybe such multiple voting is pretty much cancelled out with the large numbers voting on the TV show, but in a smaller audience of maybe 20,000, having a dozen or more people voting several 100 times each cancels out an awful lot of the others

Just a thought!

IIRC, in the live show's first season, Matt Di Angelo fans who weren't even at the performance were co-ordinating numbers and phone calls so that he would win as often as possible. Wasn't there a stink about it on here?

I believe there was some discussion on the subject

My own direct experience was last year at the 02...3 girls behind me were dead chuffed to inform anyone who cared to listen that they'd put in 300 votes each for their fave That just about cancelled out the votes of the whole block I was sitting in

well it still is .. Julians routines were intentionally comedic ... but still he did only win three times out of forty five.

what I'm saying is that .. looking at the people who won on the tours ... Rachel for instance .. won twenty six times out of forty five yet the series winner Tom won only once

on the previous tour Matt DiAngelo won sixteen out of the forty dances with Darren Gough (a former champion) winning only eight

well yes but it doesn't necessarily follow that the multiple voters are going to vote for the most accomplished .. they may well favour the least

for all we know only six people in the audience vote!! (I'd definitely mess up cos nine times out of ten my mobile is still at home on the coffee table)

I think on tour there is a certain amount of voting for someone who hasnt won the main show aswell.

On the next tour we could have two champions dancing so that might be interesting.

I would imagine that for many people getting their favourite to win on tour is retribution for them not having won in the final.

How bizarre!! Whyever would they do that, it makes no sense, it's not as if it matters at all who wins on tour. Not that it's life or death who wins on TV, but at least then the celebs and their pros have put in months of work which it is nice to be rewarded for, on the live tour, it's just another performance and they can try again the next night!
I blame free texts

They probably were not free as they were premium numbers which dont usually come in a package. I would say that for me when I was at the tour that when my favourite strictly celeb ever (who didnt win his series) was dancing on tour it WAS important to me that he won at least once, and even more lovely that he won when they filmed the DVD so it is marked for posterity.

The BBC changed the rules for the semi final to ensure their favourite son would get through. Of course himself and Ola are through to the final mainly on cheek and charm. His Latin dances are a joke, comprising 95% standing, walking, posturing, lying on the ground. It should have been an Ali vs Ricky final, but Chris will probably go on to win, to complete the farce of programmes this year like the ending of the Restaurant.

In your opinion. Just because the result of the show may be against your wishes doesn't mean it'll be a farce.

No, I think you will find the BBC changed the rules of a three-person semi-final because many people were pointing out the there was at least one scenario where the public couldn't save one of the couples. Given the bad press it has received over the past year about deceiving audiences, it could not risk The Sun or the Daily Heil latching on to this and dragging Strictly's reputation yet further into the mud.

And since when was Chris the BBC's favourite son? How can this be when the judges have lavished significantly more praise over two other contestants than they have over him?

Up to you what you choose to believe, obviously, but your argument doesn't hold water ...

OK, forget the dancing then and what would they do to get our votes?

Take their clothes off? Ricky wins. Looks and fantasy being as bigger reason for people voting for Ricky as those that say Chris is charming.

I know which I would rather be popular for, but then, Im not known for being shallow.

And you have proof to back up that claim do you? No, of course not, as it is your twisted opinion based upon some immature notion because your faviourite did not get through.
What name??

I think that people who enjoy wathcing good dancing are more likely to go to the tour as opposed to those that are interested in background gossip on their celeb or the feel of being in a fan club.
