Forget RATM & Joe : Download The Pogues!! Genuine Xmas Classic

I think we should all support a great xmas classic and download the The Pogues : Fairytale Of New York.

Ok this wont get to Number 1 or even the Top 10 but at least were showing that we actually care about a great xmas song.

People need to remember good songs like this...

Who's likely to forget a song that's played every single year?

Fairy Tale of New York is definitely the best Xmas song, but the choice has been made for Rage so we should all but that instead of splintering choices.

Hate this song. Over hyped.

its become part of the package that it used to be liked for being an alternative too...

most crimbo songs are nicey picey everybodies happy (understandable) whilst FTONY offered a 'cool' alternative, and it is good, but im now officially SICK of it. its now churned out along with slade and wizzard etc... classics from my youth, but have long since past their sell by date.

This used to be my favourite Christmas song, but i've got so sick of it in recent years. It's played about twice an hour all through December. They should give it a rest for a few years now. There are plenty more great Christmas songs to choose from.

Yeah, I do love FTONY, but I think 2000 Miles has probably replaced it as my favourite Christmas song.

I like some of the more modern Christmas songs, but in moderation. The standards I could listen to all day though, mainly because they've been covered by dozens of people each. I'm pretty sure I have at least 25 versions of Silver Bells on my Spotify playlist.
