Okay at the last minute a very good friend of mine has agreed to hang off my arm tonight and pretend I am the love of his life.

I think most of you will recognise him and not be surprised at his identity!

Of course he will be in black tie and we'll be under or near the mistletoe most of the evening!

I've buggered up my knee with a torn cartilage so I'll be propping up the naughty step on crutches.

But I've got Cornish clotted cream and pasties by the dozen. Would have had loads of cider but cant drink because of the pain killers, so I'll party sober.

We have to bully him into covering Dancing With Ice again. I'm not a fan, I think it's a bit OTT for Zlebs (too much risk of injury) but I watched every show last year simply because of JfW's musings.
