While i sympathise with those who do not want cowell "ruining" the charts at Christmas time I am appalled at the choice of "song" to try defeat Joe to the top spot.
why couldnt theye choose a Christmas song - it would have served the same purpose and probably have been a more widely popular choice. i do NOT want my kids singing "f** you i wont do what you tell me at any time of year, especially Christmas Day" I will NOT do want a small group of degenerates tell me! ![]() |

In the present world situation I would have thought
Stop the Cavalry by Jona Lewie, or I believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake would have been appropriate. |

I just find myself wondering if the OP actually knows what the RATM song is about? Probably not, or they wouldn't be so quick to label a song that is anti racism as sick.

It is widely known that people who like rock music are a hell of a lot more intelligent and accomplished than the devolved sheep that pay into pop music (and the XFactor)-the majority of which are complete dole scum and a drain on our society. The idiocy of our nation embarrasses and scares me. At least if your kids sang rage it might give them something to stand for. It might make them think. |

Celesti there are actually a couple of well known scientific studies that show that I am not making it up. Rock music makes you think, people that write rock music want to present their ideas on a wide range of subjects to their fans.
Pop music on the other hand tends to be about love/relationships and involves lots of simple metaphors. It's aimed, unsurprisingly, at the majority-the lower working class who live their aimless lives in preparation for the weekend and the prospect of getting pis**d and watching the XFaxtor. Don't even get me started on the people that like hip-hop. If you can even call them people anymore. |

Anything off of The Downward Spiral would be pretty awesome. I'm sure you could spin Hurt into a Christmas song somehow.

(Not sure why I bring that up lol) |

But then I do also own the Wu-Tang Clan back catalogue so chances are I wouldn't be able to read them anyway. |

Rock music is for smart people, and yet here you are hurling abuse at people you disagree with and throwing wild negative generalisations about people based on something as innocuous as some songs they might like.
