I have heard a rumour that they are going to be called before the Iraq War Inquiry when it reconvenes in the New Year. You heard it here first.

hate to rain on the OPs parade but I'd been out all evening and got back just as Live at the Apollo was starting. Immediately checked ceefax for the result and there was nothing on page 502 about Chris winning. Refreshed the page and there it was. Maybe its because Hampshire is so far from London we got the result late. Must complain to my MP about this unacceptable wait for vital news.

Hampshire? Isn't that where they have all those mysterious crop circles? Now the alien Morris Dancers have taken over Ceefax as well....jingle jingle....

Now you come to mention it, there were some suspiciously Morris type moves in the showdance...

Look, if we wanted actual evidence, we'd ask for it, OK?

It's probably the type of cables you have down there, they make the speed of light go slower or something.

I'm ignoring any of the rudeness/insults about my post... - I'm really not hyper or highly-strung about entertainment shows as lots of you on here seem to be.

I was merely reporting what I had heard and wanted to obtain other people's views (as I feel the BBC does have the tendency to make bias decisions rather too often for a body to whom we pay the licence fee) - - so thanks for all the er... colourful comments.

I still do think Chris is too smug and I'm glad I won't have to see his smug face too often anymore...

I like Ola though, - & I love Natalie Lowe as I think she's rather down to earth and genuine and dignified no matter the circumstance.

I would have loved for Ricky and Natalie to win as I feel they were by far most entertaining and the obviously better dancers!!

But all in all I'm not overly bothered as I know all these vote-in shows can be rather fickle - and unlike a lot of people I actually watch more for the pro dances rather than the celeb dramas!

I'm now looking forward to the new dancing show ('So You Think You Can Dance') which starts 2nd January... - can't wait to see what that one is all about.

I heard that someone had read that Chris Hollins won this. Apparently it was scrawled in green crayon accross their front room wall, so it MUST be true. Another fix by the BBC

And those stupid arm hankies they wear in the Foxtrot.
They are also used in Morris rituals.

Anyone noticed the DS headline up there ^ ? Len thinks Strictly should be pruned.....bad idea, the judges have enough verbal diarrhoea as it is
Or, could that be the REAL reason for Laila's absence tonight? She had nothing to wear because Len took a pair of garden shears to her wardrobe of fringed frocks?

By George you're right! Could it be that I've unwittingly uncovered the conspiracy to end all conspiracies? If so, can I have a reward please?

If this is true - I'm totally disgusted!!

Ricky and Natalie deserved to win as they were by far the better dancers and entertainers IMHO!! - I like Ola, but I can't stand Chris's silly smug face... - Ricky and Natalie are my winners!!!(I hope they and not Chris turn up for the Christmas show and win...)

So does anyone else think that BBC have shamed themselves and perhaps rigged things?

Have been saying the same thing all week about this being rigged in the Beebs golden boys favour.

It has been so obvious that the golden breakfast boy has been pushed to the front. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh cant stand the smug little git! Did not even looked surprised when he had won.

Chris and Ola won fair and square. Their showdance was far better and featured a variety of dance styles, not just a series of lifts. Get over it.”

Fantastic! They're not just dedicated...they're committed!

Why don't you tell us what you really think?

No, honest. Don't hold back now. Just let us know.

One day you may look back on this and feel very embarrassed (I know I would if I'd been responsible for this comment).

Or maybe not.

It's such a shame that whilst Ricky and Natalie were the very epitome of graciousness, some of those who supported them have chosen to behave in a manner completely the opposite. It does no favours to anyone.

Wow some SCD fans really take it seriously dont they!

Its only a "light entertainment show" after all.

Why would I look back on this and feel very embarrased The show is over for this year now and I stated my opinion about what I thought about the winner - end of! Do not know Chris Hollins personally and will not ever meet him so why should I be embarrased over my comment.

Oh, maybe because you stated he was a 'smug little git' - which is a very unpleasant thing to say about anyone.

It's very weird, the way people keep insulting the winners (and by your own admission you don't know him personally so how can you know he's a 'smug little git'? Would you say that to his face, I wonder?) and then suddenly get coy and state that they don't really care that much!

It's like a conspiracy!!!

I don't take SCD that seriously - not sure if you fully understood my post.

Ricky and Natalie were very gracious in defeat. It's a shame some of their fans have chosen to behave atrociously. But that says more about some of their fans than it does about them. And if Chris and Ola had been defeated tonight I would not have gone around bandying terms like 'smug big git' or indeed, insulting someone I do not know at all. In fact, I would have congratulated them on here for a well deserved win. Because it was a great final, an entertaining show and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have enjoyed it regardless of who won.

(Hmm, ... I'm not sure I'm the one who's taking it too seriously here!

It's got nothing to do with SCD and everything to do with courtesy and graciousness. Which Ricky and Natalie had in spades and some of their fans seem to lack completely.

My parents taught me that if you don't have something good to say about someone then don't say anything at all.

But that's society today, I guess. I think I may go live in a cave away from it!

Well, I've met him and he's a lovely guy. We were in the audience week 10, and he came out to chat with the GBP waiting in the rain. He did this every week, and was the ONLY celeb to bother talking to the cattle truck class punters.

Now, back to the real issues. I think the earlier poster may be on to cables being slower the further from London you are. We don't even GET teletext in Dorset, but we DO have an infestation of morris dancers. Should I call OfCom?
