Felt a bit sorry for Tom

It was a bit like last year when Tess went into the audience to drool over Austin's arms for the umpteenth time and almost sat on Erin, and completely ignored her I think she just has horrendously poor people skills!

I've read that it was Tom's decision not to dance in the final, as he had other work commitments - or I hope so, anyway!

I understand why Camilla was not dancing with him but you would think he could have danced with one of the other girls wouldnt you.”

Personally I couldn't care less that Tom didn't get to dance last night; I just couldn't see the point of having Lisa and Rachel dancing.

The pros should have worked harder to turn out the best pro dance the show had ever seen, instead of which it was pretty poor, and Lisa and Rachel just made it gimmicky.

BBC have got to work harder to liven the proceedings up.

Fair enough Camilla isnt here but so what? Gethin danced with Camilla too and hes still doing the christmas special (with Flavia).
Tom could have easily danced with Katya or one of the other pros tonight.
I really hope it was HIS choice not to dance and not the bbc just being rude and dismissing him for Lisa and Rachel.”

The whole thing was odd.
Tom just happened to be sitting next to the empty seat that Tess was to sit on?
Was Clare there too or was that whose seat it was?

I wonder if there were a lot of 'just in case' slots to cover for Laila and Phil being missing and Tess being Tess decided on a new face to interview instead of the (at that point) current champion and then possibly ran out of time?

As much as I enjoy the pro dances, I'm not sure I could have endured yet another bog standard one having watched (and appreciated) 30 or so this series already.

Rachel and Lisa mixed things up and gave added interest. I welcomed their participation.

I agree, although I could have lived without the re-appearance of Lisa Snowdon.
