Not sure that they ever get revealed. But, as one of the many floaters who "wait to see the dances" before picking up the phone (but this year secretly presumed we would be voting for Ricky) I was taken aback by Cola's sheer brilliance and the joy their routines evoked. I even broke my SCD habit of only voting once!

I'm sure it was a landslide and to publish figures would only humiliate the losing couple...though I hope Chris is told his percentage, if only to balance out the nonsense threads claiming he can't dance.

I thought they had to make the voting figures available to the public after the scandals of the last couple of years in other shows.

Found a quote that says Ricky wants them to release the vote percentages and the BBC say...

[i]A BBC spokesman said: 'We never reveal exact figures as we have a relationship of trust with our contestants and it would be unfair to disclose the exact nature of difference in their popularity.

Basically it seems as if they're protecting their future investment - if celebs know it might be revealed conclusively how unpopular they are it might put them off going on the show. This way they hope to persuade more people to do it because, let's face, proving unpopular probably is a big concern for some taking part.

On the SCD FAQ:

Quote:
“Q: Why are the voting figures not published?

We invite you to vote for the dancers that you liked best, based on their performance in each show and during the series. Releasing voting figures could affect the way that people vote, and also have an impact on the participants. We therefore do not disclose the exact voting figures.

Although the BBC is subject to the Freedom of Information Act, information which is closely connected to our programme-making is not covered by the Act. The Information Commissioner, who regulates the Act, has confirmed that information about Strictly Come Dancing voting is not covered. We are therefore not required to disclose the voting figures under the Act.”
