Full hd tv choices???
Hi,
Need some advice for my new tv. Budget is around £800, want full HD not just HD ready. Probably avoiding LED (read about too many problems with them!) 42"/50". The new panasonic viera seems to be getting rave reviews? Any ideas, I get so much conflicting advice my head is buzzing!!

I've no problem with buying Panasonic, they are quite rightly one of the top two manufacturers.
Apparently their huge problems with LCD panel failure is due to the Chinese manufacturer altering the manufacturing process without telling them (as Chinese often do). As a result of this they are replacing massive numbers of failing panels, including those that are out of guarantee. If anyone is interested?, apparently it's something like the manufacturer used a different specification of adhesive to secure some wires or connectors, and this becomes corrosive or conductive over time. Big plus points to Panasonic for admitting the proiblem, and sorting it out. |
