XMas Number One Sales Figures *spoiler*
These figures are doing the rounds. The press are usually told at about 3:30pm, so it looks like they could be reliable:
christmas battle sales figures. If these are accurate, I'm surprised that Joe didn't sell more. |

Is that the actual top five or have they added the Mariah Carey and Pogues in as they're the biggest selling Christmas tracks?

Hope this is true, means my work is done for this year. I will be ready to download the anti x factor song next year. Hope this can be done every year from now on.

I think the record companies/artists need to be smarter if they want to get a xmas number 1. They need to get a really decent song out there, by a decent band. Not just some tacky pop song, but something half decent and crafted, and they might just get it. |

I hear that next year's X-Factor winner is going to be covering Bullet In The Head, and pop will eat itself.

Hope you're all pleased with yourselves. What was the point in denying this young lad a Christmas No.1?

From what I've heard though, the single isn't really that good, and the sales could of been much better. If it was that Leona chick, she might of sweeped it.

Because winning the X Factor doesn't mean he immediately gets, or deserves a No.1 single. Jeez, Im sure he'll get one soon enough.

To me it wasn't about the RATM song this year. It was about sending a message to Cowell that he didn't own the christmas no1, like he seems to own itv1. Hopefully next year there will be a better song to do a campaign with.
I am a Rage fan, but its not their best track. I just like the fact a bunch of people on Facebook started this and changed what would be a predictable outcome. |

Just because he won a TV talent show does not mean that he is automatically entitled to have a Christmas Number One. |

People should just buy what they want ,not what they are told to buy to keep someone else off the top-Pathetic campaign for pathetic people.

Its got nothing to do with Joe,the group was started before the final three was announced, its about letting the X Factor know that releasing cheezy schmaltzy pap every year recorded by the Simon Cowell Playbook and Steam Rollering all comers into submission the Christmas Number One week is not on Joe could(if the stuff is true)have wiped the floor with the campaign if more of the 19 Million people who watched the final actually bothered to buy the song, either they cant be arsed or download everything for free OR they didnt like the song choice either you pays your money you takes your choice |

I think those are all more worthwhile causes than Joe MCelderry and Simon Cowell. |
