its bloody awful. Has no tune in it at all. Just a complete borefest.
The same is true of both Joe and RATM. I just wish this campaign was aimed as people getting a decent, tuneful song by a talented artist to number one- not an X Factor kareoke singer, and not a screeching thrash metal pile of crap.

How can anyone say the Rage song is boring? I remember hearing it first when I was 15 in the Year 2000, even then it was 8 years old, thus making it nearly 18 years old. It completely changed my whole appreciation of music.

Question who is going to remember an X-factor finalist's song in 18 months let alone years?

Hope you're all pleased with yourselves. What was the point in denying this young lad a Christmas No.1?
He's not being denied anything. He's already had a no.1 with the finalists charity record so that's that dream fulfilled already. What? Sorry, you wanted a solo no.1? Group not good enough for ya?

He's just going to have to work even harder in the future to get on top. This'll probably be good for his career in the long run. Plus Syco is going to milk it for all it's worth, "Poor little Joe etc."

Personally, after seeing Joe with a picture of himself having thrown darts at RATGM posters, I don't think he derves the silver spoon he has been giving. What a rat.
X factor shouldn't be guaranteed a Christmas number 1, I hope that Cowell and the oh so Sweet Cheryl have to eat their words, after all Cheryl wasn't quite that sweet when she assaulted the loo attendant in the Drink nightclub was she?
Regardless of what anyone thinks of the RATM song and band. The proceeds are going for a good cause.
Maybe next year, the X-Factor will delay the release of their winners single by a week to give all artists a chance of winning and stop being so god damn greedy.

I'm just chuffed that for the first time in years the xmas No1 is uncertain, it's rather exciting!
I don't like either song but that doesn't matter.

I hope whichever android presents the Top 40 these days has the decency to play the full version like Bruno Brookes once did.

These forums will be unbearable now, I'm not a fan of either, or like either so I didn't buy either. One thing what bathles me is that, people are telling me its non-conformity, as they are not doing what Simon Cowell's telling them, however they are just doing what the people who started the petition are telling them. Fair play some people who like the music to buy it, just like people who like Joe will buy his, but to buy something just to spite someone is stupid.
Well done to RATM, anyway. Also I'm not saying Joe has a right to number 1, but after 4 winners have been no.1 and him not getting it must be hard.

I know that! But it was Joe that won-get it?

Jeez
So if Stacey had won would you have made a similar post asking 'what was the point in denying the girl a number one'? You've admitted that you realise the campaign was against The X-Factor and not whichever of the contestants eventually won it,therefore your original post is irrelevant IMHO.

I wish people who slated metal actually knew something about it and wasn't just an idiot who says "omg its all screaming and noise!!11!!" just because it's not some overproduced sugary pop song. RATM are rap rock, and they're hardly screeching. This is an actual example of thrash metal:

TBH the guy who called Rage "Trash Metal" would probably call Nirvana "Goth", so I fear an example of Megadeath may make him faint.

People should just buy what they want ,not what they are told to buy to keep someone else off the top-Pathetic campaign for pathetic people.
HAHHAHAHA, oh the irony! Don't you see the pure stupidity of that comment given who you're supporting??
