This is really hard! I think the best ever dancer was Jill (by a mile) but if I have to rank them I'll do it according to how much joy the couple provided me with on the dancefloor!

1) Chris - even when he mucked up dances like the quickstep and jive I didn't care and still thoroughly enjoyed them; his charleston is now my fave strictly dance ever!

2) Jill - loved every single one of her dances, she always looked stunning and danced like a pro! Fave dances: Cha Cha, Samba and Paso!

3)Mark - great chemistry with Karen and wonderful to watch his confidence grow - again, loved all of his dances!

4) Alesha - fantastic ballroom dances but feel she was slightly over-rated in the latin. Think I'm one of the only people that didn't really "get" her Cha Cha Cha!

5) Darren - a nice guy who improved a lot and I genuinely liked a lot of his dances (particularly ballroom)

6) Natasha - felt she always looked nervous but was the best of a bad bunch!

7) Tom - sorry, but his latin made me cringe (the paso face!), really didn't like him or his partnership with Camilla!

2. Alesha (occasionally let down by technique but very strong across the board)
3. Tom (by virtue of consistency. Scored very well across all dances)
4. Mark (brilliant at Latin but not quite consistent enough at ballroom to place him above Tom)
5. Natasha (again by virtue of her showing across all dances. She didn't really have any wow moments but she never plumbed the depths either)
6 = Darren/Chris (Both were inconsistent. Both had a couple of strong party pieces - and in Darren's case, these have got stronger over the years - but look for backup in other dances and it isn't really there.)

1. Jill - Best all-rounder by far and with a great presence.

2. Tom - Best all-round male for me if erratic at times. Very good out on his own and obviously enjoying himself.

3. Mark - Wasn't wild about his ballroom but loved his latin.

4. Alesha - The moment I heard she was in the show I thought she'd win so although she was very good I didn't really feel there was any 'J' word to her story

5. Darren - Very good for a bloke his size and one of the biggest personalities the show's had.

6. Chris - Good fun but very average dancing. Gurning that made Tom's expression look bhuddist by comparison.

7. Natasha - The best that series...Doesn't say that much though.

ABILITY:

Jill: the best ever contestant and no other contestant will ever come close if she was in these past couple of series her lowes score would have been 33 or somthing like that/

Alesha: she was a good dancer but wasn't technically amazing but she was a good dancer if you get me. i never got how she was never penalized for her pigeon toes.

Tom: He shouldnt have won that year but i guess he was a good dancer and could have won most of the other years

Mark: delivered some amazing dances. Salsa, Argentine tango ect.

Natasha: i actually liked her but her dancing kinda reminded me of christine bleakley which isnt a bad thing i suppose but it just shows how the show has came on .

Darren: His show dance was the best he did. his x mas specials were good but nothing else were that great.

Chris: funny and entertaining but technicality wise he wasnt that good. except his showdance which i thought was very good.

when i actually think about it most of the winners shouldnt of actually won.

Series 1: Clarie sweeney definitely should have won i would love to see her come back.

Series 2: Jill deffo won by a mile

Series 3: Zoe should have won !!!

Series 4: Louisa or maybe even emma should have won

Series 5: alesha won but it was made easy for her because of kelly leaving early and i tell you gabby was definitely 100% the best dancer that series and her medly jive thing in the final was equally as good a jills.

Series 6: Rachel should have won !!

Series 7: Ali, Ricky and even Zoe !!!!

I can't and won't split them anymore than that

1. Alesha - the perfect package, she looked and danced like a dream. Was modest yet bubbly. I fell completely in love with her and still watch her dances on youtube.

2. Jill - not my favourite that year (I was voting for Denise) but I can see that she was an excellent dancer. She just didn't quite have the sparkle though.

3. Tom - he had a certain flair and finesse. His showdance was memorable for breaking away from the "latin with lifts" style we had seen previously.

4. Chris - gave it everything he had without looking self conscious. Worked hard and deserved his win.

5. Darren - probably a better dancer than Chris but was a little too smug for my liking.

6. Mark - I'm sorry, I really can't see what all the fuss was about this guy. He got a long way on the basis of being able to swivel his hips.

7. Natasha - only last because I didn't watch this series and have never properly watched her dances.

I can't call Darren, Jill or Mark's performances to mind.

I remember thinking Natasha surprisingly good but I don't remember it.

I remember thinking Alesha enchanting but I don't remember it.

I was not in a million years going to vote for Tom but I loved the showdance for sheer joie de vivre.

I was not in a million years going to vote for Chris but I was impressed by the cleverness of the showdance.

My all time favourite was Denise Lewis. She danced with such elegance.

1. Jill - not my favourite, and I was voting for Denise that year but having seen her subsequent appearances and also on the tour, I reckon nobody else has the same finish as Jill. Wonderful combo of technical ability and performance.

2. Alesha - Really knew how to sell a dance, and convey the individual character of each dance. Not as technically refined as Jill but her performance made up for it which is why I loved the Cha Cha despite the bent legs and the show dance despite the mistakes.

3. Tom - excellent ballroom and very good latin. Suffered slightly from not having had an outstanding latin dance. One of the best show dances though. The most consistent of the male winners.

4. Mark - some stunning latin, and the producer of three dances that make my all time favourites list. Ballroom a bit patchy in places though.

5. Chris - I think his detractors have missed out on some quality dancing from him. Yes, the face and hands are issues, but what I loved was that he always seemed to get what a particular dance was about, rather than trying to sell all the Latin in the same way for example.

6. Natasha - I don't actually recall too much about her, but I suspect that she wouldn't have made it nearly as far in a later series.

7. Darren - couldn't begrudge him winning after puppetgate, but he never did it for me

Well as even ablility is subjective, I'm simply going to go with my favourites in order:

1. Mark. The only winner that I actually supported. Shows how out of touch I am with the public

2. Jill. I didn't support her as I wanted Denise to win, but appreciated what a great dancer she was.

3. Natasha. Didn't really understand the show so much back then and thought she deserved to win in the final.

4. Tom. With Lisa and Rachel fans at it like hammer and tongs (especially on the Beeb boards), I felt he was a good compromise winner.

5. Alesha. Didn't dislike her at all but was still fuming from Gethingate which probably clouded my judgement a bit

6. Darren. Came good in the end but never as good as Colin. Damn Erin.

7. Chris. Simply because I didn't watch the final so can't really comment. Sorry.
