Getting a tv recorded show to PC

If for example i have a 30minute SD recording and i want to put it onto my PC, what sort of file size would it be?

Can i plug in a USB flash drive and back it up that way?

Could i then convert the recording to something more generic?

Ideally i'd like to upload something to facebook...

Any help would be great thanks.

Need to know what box you are using to record the programmes on Freesat?

Generally, SD is very approximately 2GB per hour, at least on the Humax HDR.

You cannot upload copyright broadcast material to Facebook.

Rgds.
