I found it on one of the trending topics on twitter. It is 100% accurate from 40 to 15 so looking good

That HAS to have broken the UK record for most downloads in a week!.
Well, if this is true, Joes CD sales must have dropped off dramatically, OR RATM downloads increased dramatically on Friday and Sunday. Looking at those totals, I'd say the latter.

What was the last 'non talent show finalist' act to get 500K in first week in the UK?.

Ta.

Not sure, but Rage won't count as being one as the single hasn't actually been released; the campaign just selected a song that was already available.

Ahh, ok, I see,...so what was the last(non talent show) song to sell 500K in one week then, (any week, not first).?

I would think only Elton Johns Candle in the Wind has done that.

In a diffferent way the RATM single is as cliched and predictable and dull as the X Factor single.

-No one wins....certainly not music....

Its only a bit of fun and if it stops the X Faxtor winner becoming the Christmas No.1 for the next 10 years then you are wrong.

It was released as a physical single in the nineties. It might still count.

This was already revealed in another thread, only the other poster had the decency to post it was a spoiler.
