I really don't get this campaign - why pick such a sh*t song like Killing in the Name, when we could have got Fairy Tale of New York to the top spot - a PROPER Christmas song.
Although I watched The X Factor, I'm kinda glad Joe isn't number 1, as his song is sh*t as well.

Superb. 800,000 Facebook users. 19 million X Factor viewers.
To paraprhase the immortal words of Delia Smith...
"TO THE BEST JOE SUPPORTERS IN THE WORLD, HE NEEDED A 12TH MAN THERE.... WHERE WERE YOU? LETS BE AVING YOU! COME ON!"

Because it's the antithesis of The X Factor. And probably because that song is well known anyway?

I dont like the Rage Aginst the Machine track one little bit

Nor do I like Bland Joe's bland Myley cover crap

This is about Simon Cowell thinking he has the god damn right to control us British music buyers year in year out at Christmas. It had to be stopped and the public has spoken.

Cowell is not some god like he seems to think he is, in some ways he reminds me of Adolf Hitler in how he thinks he can hypnotise people.

Bit over the top, comparing Hitler (who I admit had his faults) to Cowell.

Great stuff! Would love to have seen Simon and Cheryl's faces when they heard the news!

It's refreshing to see something completely unrelated to X Factor at Number 1 for a change.

I know RATM isn't very Christmassy...but was Joe's song a Christmas song?

Ahahaha! Congrats to RAtM.

I hope this starts a trend for inappropriate rock songs for Xmas #1. Maybe have Motorhead's Ace of Spades next year.
