What is the point in Xmas Number 1 anyway?

I don't get it. We don't have any decent Christmas songs anymore so why the big fuss?

So, RATM went to number 1 this week. Joe will probably get his number 1 next week as I can't see many buying RATM next week.

The fact is that recently the main contest might as well have taken part in any other week. What makes this week so special?

Maybe next year's campaign should be to get a Christmas song to Christmas number 1. (And I mean a decent one!)

The christmas number one died out a long time ago. No worries. I don't care about Joe Crap Factor I hate the hype about xmas number one.

Well at least religion is dying out. YES.

I didn't realise but I've said for a long time how I wanted more modern Christmas songs, becuase I'm seriously getting bored of the "classics". (And George Michael's new song doesn't count, cos it's so dreary and samey.) More decent and original christmas songs in the battle for christmas number 1 or what's the point in calling it a christmas number 1. Just call it another number 1.

It's just a promotional tool that has been denied to Joe.
If we in the whole country all talk about the Xmas No.1 it has got some prestige to it.
