Well at least he isnt bitter and twisted unlike the person who started the Facebook campaign. Whether you like Joe or not there we know who the bigger Man is! Shame that such a spiteful campaign has been aimed at an innocent 18 yr old!

Blimey! I didn't realise Simon Cowell was so young.

The people who started the campaign weren't even aiming it at Simon Cowell personally, never mind a singer who hadn't even won the competition when the campaign started. They wanted to add unpredictability to the no.1 race.

I take it you didn't see Joe's comments yesterday, saying that the Rage song was 'dreadful' and that 'they are just shouting'. sounds bitter and twisted to me.

Most of these type of songs seem to be "just shouting" to me. So I completely understand Joe's point of view.

The other day there were photos of him throwing darts at Zack's picture. Bitter? Of course not.

The Sun got him to pose with a dartboard, it's hardly him launching an enraged attack on the band.

I'm sorry what did Angelic Joe say... "It's dreadful and I hate it. How could anyone enjoy this?"

He obviously typed this, sitting there saying "those bastards ".

This campaign in no way was spiteful. Why is it spiteful? So what if he's 18 and new? He's in the industry now and he's going to have to develop balls to survive.

I really love the fact that a show with around 20million viewers was toppled by a Facebook group with around 800,000. Fair enough, the media got involved, but Joe has had constant promotion for a few months.

I have no idea why Joe is congratulating RATM. They done nothing. He should be congratulating the people who bought the song

Could be worse, they could have covered a Hannah Montana song.

Exactly.

Some people just can't see what a joke the charts have become because of TV shows inventing pop stars in recent years.

The charts have always been a bit of a fix but Cowell and company have made it more blatant than ever before. At least there used to be something called competition for the number one place.

He certainly didn't sound like someone who had been "bullied" or the target of a "hate campaign".

Well it's been told by other people, but it just doesn't seem to be able to take it all in.

I don't think this campaign has ever been directed at Joe. Some people were supporting it to annoy Simon Cowell, others were supporting it to break the stranglehold that the show has over the UK charts. That's why I was supporting it. Any act should NEVER be guaranteed a #1 single, no matter how good or bad it may be. The winners song has been guaranteed #1 for the past few years and I am just happy that the cycle has finally been broken.

I agree with an above comment that for a show that peaked with 19 million viewers, it still couldn't have sold enough to beat a Facebook campaign with less than 1 million members. Either people don't like the song, or they don't want to support it's chart success.

Or they weren't really watching and just had the TV on in the background.
