Ian Waite in Cranford?!
SCD-Observer

Haha. I am watching Cranford series 2 ep 1 on iplayer now and just about 3 minutes into the show, I saw an actor (not sure of his name yet) out of a carriage that looked like Ian Waite (or the younger version of him). Did a double-take.

Imagine the pros acting in a period drama, doing those traditional country dance in the show in turn.

Who will you want to be seen speaking posh and dancing in a BBC costume drama like Cranford?

edit: just got his name, he's Tom Hiddleston playing a character called William Buxton in the new series.

Me three.

Someone tweeted that they kept expecting him to turn around and have a full on rumba face.

Yup, we all thought this. If we were casting Cranford from Strictly pros, how about Ola as Miss Matty's new maid - she might be able to persuade her to leave off at least one layer of bonnet. And I am sure Miss Pole's parrot cage (sous-jupe!) has been worn by at least one of the celebs during a ballroom dance!

I think Lynda Bellingham got quite a lot of sous jupes, from memory. Mind you, it's so long ago now I can scarcely remember.
