This is my first Christmas since moving back to the USA from the UK...and was dreading not getting a Doctor Who special on the day. figured it would be 6 weeks or more. (we just got Waters of Mars this weekend) At best, figured it would be a couple weeks...as we got the Torchwood specials a few weeks after the UK did.

but woo hoo!!! We get End of Time part one the day after Christmas...and part 2 the next Saturday! I very much dread seeing the end of David's time as the Doctor...but am jumping up and down like a little girl because I don't have to wait forever!!!

And better yet - I can stop avoiding this site to not have the shows spoiled! LOL

I was enjoying the mini marathon yesterday, too.

I'm less enamored of BBC America right now, though; I hate the amount of reality TV they show, and now they're showing the American version of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, and having Alfred Hitchcock movies as the featured movies in January. I do not pay extra for that channel just to see things that show on regular channels and I'm going to complain and let them know that.

However, I LOVE that they're showing The End of Time so close to the British airdates.

Syramu...I know, they are more then a bit annoying at times. still happy with them because of getting Doctor Who so quickly...and they are even showing the newest season of Top Gear starting the end of january. lol

I loved the UK - only left because of divorce or I'd be there still enjoying such a wonderful show on the proper day...but more then willing to wait a day!

Yeah, I agree that it's awesome that they're recognizing that DW and other shows should be shown as close to the UK airdates as possible.

(I was a bit grumpy on Monday. And earlier Tuesday. Sorry for being a downer!)

Woo! Did you see that BBC America is going to have a marathon of all of DT's episodes beginning the night of December 31st? There are also going to be some other special things (non-DW episodes, that is). I think it all begins around 6 PM.

I'm officially back in love with BBC America again, especially since the AbFab marathon on Sunday (or whenever that was!).
