Indeed. It's funny how some claimed they mute the whole thing and still complained that they were terrible or that they've spoiled their evening.

If he hadnt acted like a letch at the end it woudl have been ok. I thought Alesha was very entertaining.

Did to get better in the later parts?

I managed to listen to most of it, though not quite all the way to the final note. I may have missed a short bit nearish the start if my two listening attempts didn't fully overlap.

No one claimed they muted the whole thing, at least not in this thread. Maybe they did, but they don't actually say it.

It was a risk I wasn't willing to take

It was car crash tv from the start so you couldn't not look. As ill-advised numbers go, it had a similar level of success to the infamous David Brent dance from "The Office"

Put a hyena and a donkey in a blender and the result would be more tuneful. Allegedly.

I couldn't possibly comment as I took the mute-route.

But you will never persuade me that anyone thought this would be a good idea (except the culprits, obviously!).....

Merry Christmas!

Sorry, I'm confused was it a she cat or a he cat that was howling because they had not been fed?

I'm so glad you added 'Alledgedly' otherwise I was going to to report you to the RSPCA for cruelty to a hyena and a donkey!

Really didnt like it. Yes, this is Brucie's style, but he wasnt on the money with this and as for Alesha - well, She's not as good as she thinks she is!

I actually thought Bruce came out of it quite well, until the end. Not my style but for an old bloke it wasn't too unbearable. Alesah was dreadful thought. Someone ought to tell that girl you don't need to stretch every word into fifteen seperate notes.

It wasn't anything special, was it?

But to be fair, there's been some far worse singing several times on this programme.

HOWEVER, am I the one one who found the Bruce/Alesha duet absolutely excrutiatingly awful? I just think there was something creepy about him performing with a girl young enough to be his great granddaughter

plus Alesha's way of singing with a sort-of mid-atlantic drawl was annoying and Bruce was as off-key as ever.

Still, I suppose if Bruce has enough weight on the show to get Alesha the judging gig then the producers aren't going to say no when he asks if they can do a number together. If it was me I would say, "well ok Bruce, if you want to but don't you think you embarrassed yourself enough when you tried to sing Almost Like Being In Love a few weeks ago"”

I found it excruciating! I wanted to bite my cushions as well as stuff them in my ears. at 82 Brucie cant dance, his singing is terrible too and the song didnt suit Alesha...

I watched with an X-Factor die hard. How can we convince X-factor devotees to switch and or additionally follow Strictly when faced with THAT!!

It looked like something left over from a 1970's sodding variety show!

Wouldnt it have been better to get a decent singing star in for the finals- even someone like Bette Midler who is a little on the older side, but at least is a living legend. I reckon it was simply too close to Xmas to get someone of her stature and also they didnt have the dosh to afford someone decent...

It rather strikes of "bargain basement" filler IMO... compared the the lavish look of X-Factor or even DWTS, Strictly looks like a Blue Peter do-it-yerself jobbie.....

BRING ON GETHIN!!
