Setting up an old Philips 32PW9576
I'm running a couple of old TVs off the RF2 connector on my Sky+ HD box.
The old Toshiba works perfectly after ordering a clone remote to tune it in from avukltd.com, but I don't know how to tune in the Philips 32PW9576, which I have 2 original remotes for. It currently uses two of three SCART connectors from the old 2nd Skybox now on Freesat using the old blue card and a DVD player. So I get: EXT 1 - Freesat EXT 2 - DVD player EXT 3 - nothing FRONT Y/C - nothing Any ideas, I've searched hi and lo on the Internet? Thanks, Mike |

I'm a little confused here, if you are using the RF out of the Sky+HD then the SCART settings etc are not relevant.
Somewhere on the Philips remote there should be a menu button (or similar such as set up) which will get you through to a tuning menu where the rest should be relatively straight forward just do a retune and that should pick up the channel. Probably someone on here will have a Philips and can give you exact advice but this should not be a difficult operation anyway with a bit of experimentation. Can you you confirm that you do want to use the RF? |

Thanks Bob, I'll try to explain more clearly.
Our main TV is connected by HDMI cable to the Sky+ HD box. I use a three way connector to connect to the RF2 connector on the Sky+ HD box and to two CRT TVs (the Toshiba and the Philips - both of which will be replaced when I can persuade my other half). The Toshiba is solely connected to Sky+ HD box by the coax cable to the aerial inpiut and works fine after tuning it in using autotune. The Philips has a similar coax cable plugged into the aerial input and this is what I'm attempting to tune in. The Philips is also connected to an old Sky Digibox by SCART and DVD player by SCART. The remote does have a Menu button, which displays Picture, Sound, Features and Programmes. Programmes display EXT1, EXT2, EXT3, Front Y/C, and BBC1, BB2, ITV, Channel 4. I have tried various combinations of buttons to enter some sort of set up. |

This is the manual from the Philips site, can you confirm that you have the same remote as in the manual?
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/3...5e_dfu_eng.pdf If so the correct steps to add a channel are from page 4 onwards let us know if that helps. |

Thanks. that's great - the link pointed me the correct button combination to get into setup.
Picture is a bit liney but a better sxtension booster should improve this. |
