I've been testing iPlayer and, over the course of the day, I'd watched bits of 'In Which We Serve', 'Live From the Apollo' and 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' and, up till now, have been mostly pleased. The menu speeds were very slow but that's not so bad.
Keen to show off my new toy and wow the wife, fresh in from Christmas Food Shoping (she'd found everything but lost her Christmas Spirit) with my knowledge of 'secret codes', I reviewed it all over again. All went well until she asked to see Strictly Come Dancing. Well. the quality is dire.
Not best pleased with me lolling on the sofa playing, whilst she was out hunter gathering, she let me know exactly what she thought of the iPlayer.
Will it get any better? Am I the only one with these problems?

How do you get out of the iPlayer Home page and back to live TV? I've pressing Ch- then Ch+ but surely, there must be a simpler way

She'll come around when there's something on that she missed first time.
I like the fact that you can browse what's on without loosing the buffer. Though it will wipe it if you try playing something.
Just had a look at Strictly once more and it's still crap. PQ that is! Is it just my reception or, is anyone else getting an exteemly poor picture.

My wife can't even tell the difference between SD and HD! And the annoying thing is she always comments on how good the pq quality on her sisters tv is,tho she has the same tv and no HD!
