How comes Rihanna has become HARD all or a sudden. after getting slapped from Chris Brown

I would have thought the opposite would have happened.

Seriously having Jeezy on your track, doesnt make you hard. Stay true to yourself!

Instead of singing "I'm soo Hard" she should have repphrased it as "Your so HAARD!

What the hell are you talking about??

Ever thought she is trying to send a message to Mr. Woman-beater Brown? Trying to regain her self-confidence after having it knocked out of her by him?

Many messages are sent in music. Nothing wrong with it. Makes for fantastic songs, as it does for books, films, etc.

Fair enough, but she could have sang the song like this

"Your think your so Hard"

"Your think your so Hard"

Another thing inn the VIDEO, why does she need to be holding a gun..... pointing and shooting

You have no understanding of the meaning of the song do you? If you did you wouldn't have made this thread.

thiss song is class.. her new stuff is so much better that MOTS, AGLM or GGGB. RR is the album which shows how much she's grown and being more original no1 is releasing stuff like her and it's the same with lady gaga , rihannas gonna be so successful next year.

Her first release from this album is good.

Not a massive fan of hers, but theres no doubt that talent is there.

She has a partial gimmick attached now, but the songs still have a message.

THANK YOU!

OP needs to listen to the song before getting assumptions from the title of the track.

can someone explain the song to me please?

i'm not really a rihanna fan so i haven't heard it, so i have no idea what the OP is on about atm.

Is it odd that I (a heterosexual male whose favourite music is usually rock music) actually REALLY like Rihanna? Same with Lady GaGa but I'm not as willing to vocalise that opinion. I got her first single from this new album and enjoy it even though it's a change of pace from the previous songs I've enjoyed (Disturbia, Umbrella, Shut Up and Drive). Her vocals are faaaaantastic!

After watching the video I think I actually feel a little bit of love for Rihanna. Especially when she indicates how, ahem, big Chris is. Or shall I say small?

Go Rihanna! What a kick in the teeth for Chris!

I really love this new era. Despite not being beaten by a lover personally, i find this album as my therapy at the moment.

Exactly!
OP search up the lyrics for Hard. If you don't understand the meaning of the song then there's no hope for you.

Agreed. I am addicted to RR. THis album really deserves top ten at least for me. Such a great album. I loved GGGB but this album is fantastic.

Uhh are you a therapist or something?

Tbh she started the whole "Good girl gone bad" thing ages ago, way before the Chris Brown incident. I think this was always the kinda image she wanted, although has got more extreme recently!
Most likely she will get tired of the image soon, and probably go back to the normal hiphop persona, but I think her current look is pretty cool.
And surely as a reaction to the Chris Brown slapfest this is more predictable? What did you expect her to remove all her makeup, grow her hair out, and start singing ballads now that some dude "taught her a lesson"?

I really lost interest in her after her first album. Which was bright and vibrant. Then came along the second one which was all doom and gloom and all her Caribbean vibes had disappeared.

Well her carribbean vibes have gone because it wasn't working well really. She has had more success with more commericial r&b dance music.

I thought you were taking a stab at ME then, but then realized, Ive never talked about Lady Gaga.

I hope it isnt odd, because Im sort of in the same boat.

Not at all! My post's not related to any of the prior posts, just a general Rihanna-related post! I'm not here to be taking stabs at anyone!

They were working fine when she made her breakthrough. I get your point though the mass populous want RnB (I don't that's why now I steer clear of Ms Rihanna).

I know that now. But, yes. Im in the same boat, as I said. Massive Rock and Metal fan, but I can listen to Rihanna and a few others without a problem.

Well, whatever the song is about, I think we're agreed that it's pretty much impossible to dislike?

Didn't she get back with Mr Brown after he beat her?
