awww i loved Zoom but why did i always think it was Lionel Ritchie who sang it??

my utmost guilty pleasure songs are:

The Only Way Is Up (BAAYYYBAAAYYY ) - Yazz & The Plastic Population

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini - Bomballarina (just for the Uh Yeah bit )

99 Red Balloons - Nena, A Little Respect - Erasure, & Safety Dance - Men Without Hats (Scrubs has a LOT to answer for)

oh and the ringtone on my phone is Pump Up The Jam - Technotronic

(all these from a self confessed Hair Metal Lover hehe)

Although a totally different song, The Commodores did sing 'Zoom' before the (much better IMO) Fat Larry's Band classic.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPQz5nCn158

It's like another GPC (guilty pleasure classic) 'One Way Ticket' by Eruption. So many people think it's by Boney M I'm surprised Frank Farian hasn't claimed royalties

Atmosphere - Russ Abbot

My Toot Toot - Denise LaSalle

Starting Together - Su Pollard

Wanted - The Dooleys

Whole album for 80p! Gave the shop assistant a pound, did I ask for the change? Not telling.

For ages and ages I thought 'Wanted' was a Brotherhood Of Man song I lost a bet over it if my memory is correct.

No Charge ~ JJ Barrie .... absolutely love it!!

Better add Save All Your Kisses For Me - Brotherhood of Man then.

Dodgy lyric: "won't you save them for me / even though you're only three"

Hardly a guilty pleasure tbf... read through the thread, there are some real horrors. One of mine for example -

Hey Matthew - Karel Fialka

"I see the A-team... I see the A-team". Sounds like an early version of The Sixth Sense.

I agree, there are some real horrors, but most of them I would take no 'pleasure' in! Lol, maybe I have missed the point but I just took it to mean songs you were embarrased to admit liking.......of which 'Desperado' is definitely one! Most of my friends would never let me live it down if I owned up to that

"Library sale" LMAO

No excusing this sentimental slush: Tonight I Celebrate My Love - Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack

I do like the name Peabo though. It makes you want to address him by removing a babygro from before your eyes.

Terry, you know what that song was better known as don't you.

"Tonight I Sellotape My Gloves To You"

It along with Syreeta & Billy Preston's "With You I'm Born Again" Love 'em both!

Hold Me ~ B A Robertson & the fantastic Maggie Bell

Their performance of this old song is brill. I like the fact they look/sound like two drunks doing a Karaoke down their local. Especially in this vid where thy both look half-cut!
