Asian artists that are debuting internationally (so underrated)
These guys are so popular yet severly underrated they can out sing and out dance most of the artists we have around today.
Tata Young - Pretty much the Asian Britney Spears and sings very good English anyway shes a big popstar in Thailand and has sold over 13 million albums in Asia and is currently touring Australia and waiting to debut in Europe next year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbBlba49ApE Music Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwRZdihE9Po BoA - Very talented she sings in English, Korean and Japanese and can probably out dance Beyonce, Britney, Ciara and The Pussycat Dolls she made her debut in America last year but she didn't do to well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62FJoJRZi8E music video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE05Bv1e_fo Utada - Shes very big in Japan everybody knows her and most of her songs have gone No.1 over there anyway shes done the most international work so far but is waiting to release internationally again and is going on tour soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moWZEY1UdRE music video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpqTJySA5S Its such a shame that Asian artists don't do well cause i would have these guys over The Saturdays anyway (no offence Saturday fans) i never understood why they aren't successful and these 3 women are huge and i think Tata is one of the richest women in Asia i know shes a confirmed millionaire. |

I only know Tata Young because Leona Lewis co-wrote one of her songs on Ready For Love. I'll be sure to check these other two gals out though.

I'm not usually a big fan of pop but I have heard of Utada Hikaru before and she has quite a good voice. I love m-flo, they are like r'n'b/hip hop/pop musicians, but they collaborate with artists from all sorts of genres. Luvotomy with Amuro Namie is the best
![]() I've also heard a bit of BigBang (Korea), they sound like a better version of JLS; I like Haru Haru. There's a German record label called Gan-Shin which has started to sell J-rock records in Europe, acts like An Cafe, L'arc en Ciel, Abingdon Boys School, Moi Dix Mois. You can get them on iTunes and sometimes on Play too.

Interesting. Its a pity these artists aren't out in the UK or Ireland, would rather listen to these than anything off the X Factor.

omg, i live in liverpool and went into a large locally run hardware store run by some asians and they had the asian pop music blaring away - it actually made me feel so happy honestly i've never even heard asian pop before but it rocked - british chart music is too staid, we need more diverse sounds in it.

People in Romania, Malaysia, Ethiopia, Chile probably can't understand songs in English, but they listen to music from here and the USA anway- I mean, tons of artists from English-speaking countries have performed in Africa and Asia. If people from other countries can put up with things that aren't in their first language, then so can we.
You can sing along anyway if you manage to pick up the lyrics. I've had a song entirely in Japanese stuck in my head all week, and my Japanese vocab currently stands at incredibly little. |

I cant think of two very different sounding singers either! |

it would be difficult for anyone who doesnt sing in english to break through here because you cant sing along to the words in the car / pub / bath etc so it would be difficult to catch on in the general public
