I don't think it's anything to do with them personally, but so far nobody just gives a shit. We already have The Saturdays, Sugababes and to a lesser extent Mini Viva and The Veronicas on the market. GCH don't stand out at all. They're just a bland pop group with some safe catchy songs. If people see it on the music channels and like it they'll buy it, but next time they hear that they have a song out they won't go "oh i'll check out GCH's new song". They'll only buy it if they hear it and like it.

The Sats overcame that problem with 'Up'.

It's not very good and their name is stupid.

#45.

Seriously that one girl will be back selling herself outside Kings Cross station soon.

I guess I'm only one who likes the song, then!

They do have a stupid name though and it's impossible to take them seriously. They supported the Jonas Brothers on tour and have appeared on a couple of TV shows, plus radio 1 has playlisted them, so maybe they'll crack the Top 20...Who knows!

Mini Viva were lauded as the next big thing and their second single didn't even chart.

perhaps they meant the "chart" as the top 40.

that's still pretty poor

i think they will do reasonably well! there first single made the top 30, on literally zero airplay! i actually think 'echo' is a much better song. they kind of remind me of atomic kitten, where they struggled to make it big, but in the end they did. could be happening again

Keep Your Head Up had a chart run of #26 - #49 - out. This single needs to do much better than that or there won't be a 3rd single, imo.
