Absolutely incredible song and video from the one and only King Of Pop.

Sorry, but I never thought he was that great to be honest, not as amazing as people like to make out. Thriller's a cool song though.

that doesn't mean everyone should love him though.

i recognise his achievements, but that doesn't make me like him or automatically think he's any better than other artists.

You do not have to like the artist but you can appreciate and understand what that artist achieved and did for music as a whole.

I am not a fan of The Beatles but i respect what they achieved and how they completely changed music.

The Thriller video is usually ranked amongst the greatest video ever made. It isn't my favourite MJ song but the video is awesome! So unique and daring for it's time. Not many people know this but Michael was a Jehovah Witness at the time and the church didn't want him to release the video because of the occult theme. Hence the disclaimer at the beginning of the video done by Michael.

I prefer the Smooth Criminal video now, but Thriller is a great video.

Those would have been more worthy of the thread title.

Oh I know, Michael Jackson is so over rated. I don't like the mans music that much (don't ask why my username is MJ lives, it's a long story! )

*sigh*

How is he not worthy?

Freddie Mercury recorded a song with MJ, spent time with him in the studio, liked him. He certainly saw him as worthy.

No one here is telling you to like him or watch his video. But you seem to be bent on creating some drama with your comments.

Yea, totally overrated. I've never thought he was a great singer either, and not very likable.

Bloke hadn't been relevant for over 20 years prior to his death.
Another artist who owed a lot of his success to the producers he worked with.
