Most Played Songs of the Year - A little unusual?
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...-the-year.html
Does anybody else think it is a little odd that most of these songs are from last year? Are we sure this isn't last year's list?

Hmm I thought that too when I saw the list. I think that list looks more like most played 2008 than 2009!

I thought the same, but it's based on royalties of songs played and the number 1 is in a couple of adverts, which when you consider how many channels carry adverts now and how many hundreds of times it will be played on top of it still being a fairly radio friendly song it does make a bit more sense and the rest are tracks that are on commercial radio constantly throughout the year getting played daily, whereas Gaga has had how many singles? each replacing the last making it more difficult for one to really breakthrough as most played.
I thought it was last years too at first lol, but when I thought about it it does make sense. |

i would have thought if it goes from royalties for songs in adverts and so on, shouldn't the insufferable "here come the girls" be there somewhere?
