Didn't know where else to post this.
No luck with Renault Forums.
Renault Customer services have no interface with Renault Technical!!

So....

The default volume on my wife's stereo is far too low and I wonder whether it can be raised. Is there a secret menue somewhere?

Do you mean it's not loud enough for you with the volume turned up to maximum?

No.

Volume can be turned up sufficiently to be heard but when the unit is turned off and back on again it defaults to a lower (too low) volume.

Merry Christmas.

Shouldn't do that, it should come on at the volume that it was turned off at. At least mine did, and every car radio I know of and owned does. My new car even remembers cd volume when different from radio.

My 2003 Laguna does the same.

Wrong.

Stereos in newer Renaults default to volume level 15 when turned back on. Does on my Espace and does on my wife's Scenic. Says so in the handbooks.

So we agree that the default is too low.
