To me it's one of two possibilities.

1) The Master duplication is relatively short-lived. I'm fairly confident of that regardless. I suspect that whatever gets Donna out of danger will also get rid of the Master clones.

2) It's part of the rumoured/speculated "round of good-byes" involving characters not seen in the cast list.

I just can't see an entire episode of Master Clones - but I can easily imagine one where the next step is having them all erased from existence (along with the human race) until the climax where the Doctor and or his allies put everything right.

In the trailer for EOT Pt2, Wilf is sat in some sort of gun turret. Looks like the tail gun section from a WW2 bomber?

Significant??

Slight anticlimax. Turns out that Wilf is.....well, Wilf.

Not really, it was a nice plot device to get people thinking, I actually think it was quite a powerful thing that Wilf was just Wilf, a human who went into the wrong little box at the wrong time, so he thus became the one who ultimately played a large part in ending Doctor tens time....

And in the end that's all we can hope for.

No more and no less than the very likable Wilf, who had the important part to play of knocking four times
or is there really more to him than that? (after all, only he could see the lady played by Claire Bloom) ... I wonder

Haha - I have ONLY watched three episodes of DH since the re-birth, (the Titanic episode and the final two) but only just (from your post) worked out what people mean by '10'.
I honestly thought it was cos of David TENant - even though I knew he was the tenth regen.
Duh to me huh.

Of course, I probably SHOULD have watched more of the series (s) cos I have enjoyed the three I have watched.

When I was a kid, K9 was all the rage, and I am just about old enough to remember Tom Baker as the Doc.

He is a human being and in the Doctors eyes that makes him wonderful

I still think there is more to him than meets the eye

I think it was just through him that the Time Lady helped set events in motion. How'd she contact him from the Time Lock is beyond me, maybe she contacted him in the Church in the past whilst covering her eyes in the Naismith mansion. Or am I looking too much into it?

The Time Lady seemed to have a link to Wilf, so I thought Donna in the future, but the Time war has already happened (sort of) and then my head exploded.

IMO Wilf is a fixed point in time and space. Simples

Mrs DJC45 has pointed out this theory to me.
If you take Wilf's name:

Wilfred Mott

you can get the word Timelord using the letters, with a few left over.
Yes I know she's a little sad to notice it, but there you go. Welcome to my world.

What does anyone else think?

I've still no idea who he is and I feel like I watched the episode intently.

The nearest I can figure is that he was fate?

He was Wilfred Mott. The Doctor, in a rather nervous and twitchy state of mind was a bit paranoid!

And what else does he need to be? Wilf is lovely, he's a brilliant grandad and a great companion. I'm glad he didn't turn out to be anything other than that, he's perfect as he is

I didn't cry when the Doctor regenerated (actually, didn't cry at all) but I would have if Wilf had been fob-watched into a different character!

I agree, I loved it, how Ten said he'd be proud to have him as a Dad and so on, I think really puts in words the affection that the viewers feel for him.

I think we may see him again at some time in the future.

so ... Wilf wasn't affected because he was protected somehow (can't remember where he was. tardis? off-world?)

but who was the timelord-lady - the dr's mum? why did she pick on wilf? and why hasn't anyone asked RTD these questions?

couldn't help liking the master (feel bad about that) so was really pleased when his final act was a 'good' one.

was it a revelation that martha & micky got together or did I miss something in a previous episode of this or torchwood?

sad to see the state of captain jack, still unhappy ...

surprised no spin off series for Jenny yet ...

wouldn't like to be in Matt Smith's shoes ...
